The Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Senior Solutions Engineer to support CCC's Auto Physical Damage Products organization. In this highly visible, client-facing pre-sales role, you will lead carrier process reviews, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and translate complex claims workflows into clear solution strategies that drive adoption, value, and revenue growth across our APD portfolio.

Candidates may bring experience in APD claims or carrier operations, knowledge of CCC or comparable insurance technology solutions, or experience in enterprise solution engineering or technical pre-sales. The strongest candidates will combine experience in at least two of these areas. You will use your operational, product, or solution engineering expertise to uncover client pain points, shape compelling recommendations, and help carriers identify smarter ways to improve APD claims performance. You will serve as a credible advisor who can understand complex workflows and connect operational challenges to practical solution recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

APD Expertise and Process Consulting

  • Serve as a client-facing expert on Auto Physical Damage claims operations and solutions, bringing knowledge of carrier workflows, organizational structures, and performance drivers to client engagements.
  • Lead highly complex carrier process reviews by conducting client and prospect discovery sessions to map current-state workflows, interpret operational pain points, and translate findings into actionable recommendations and solution designs.
  • Engage stakeholders across multiple levels, from frontline adjusters through senior executives, adapting your communication style to effectively influence operational and strategic audiences.
  • Articulate relevant industry best practices and benchmark client operations against them, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Work directly with prospective clients to document configuration requirements, integration needs, and technical constraints.
  • Support APD workflows and solutions related to areas such as estimating, reinspection, repairable claims, and total-loss valuation.

Pre-Sales Excellence

  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs that connect APD solution capabilities directly to client pain points.
  • Guide technical discovery throughout the sales cycle, equipping sellers with operational and product insight to advance opportunities.
  • Build and deliver executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that clearly articulate client problems, solution value, ROI, and business impact.
  • Create clear technical narratives and reusable enablement materials that translate product capabilities into client-relevant solutions and equip sellers to deliver consistent APD messaging.
  • Anticipate client objections and equip sellers and executives with credible, well-supported responses grounded in product knowledge and industry expertise.
  • Contribute to scalable tools, templates, and processes that improve pre-sales efficiency.
  • Maintain fluency in product capabilities, roadmap priorities, and industry trends to inform client conversations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with Product Management, aligning on client needs and market direction.
  • Serve as a connection point between clients and Product by sharing feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Success, and Implementation to ensure alignment on messaging and client needs.
  • Support the transition from sales to implementation by facilitating knowledge transfer and ensuring clear expectations.

Requirements:

  • Five or more years of experience in solution engineering, solution consulting, technical pre-sales, APD claims operations, insurance technology, strategy, or process improvement.
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Auto Physical Damage claims or carrier operations; CCC APD solutions or comparable insurance technology platforms; or enterprise solution engineering, solution consulting, or technical pre-sales.
  • Strong understanding of APD claims workflows, enterprise technology solutions, or the application of technology within complex client operations.
  • Proven ability to lead process reviews, technical discovery, or operational assessments; synthesize complex inputs; and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Experience using tools such as Visio, Miro, or similar platforms to document workflows and process findings.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to engage senior business stakeholders, frontline users, and technical audiences with credibility and clarity.
  • Advanced presentation and storytelling skills, including the ability to build executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that connect client pain points, solution value, ROI, and business impact.
  • Ability to apply structured analytical skills to review workflows, organize information, identify trends, and develop practical, client-focused recommendations, using Excel as needed for basic analysis.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Success, or Implementation teams to support client needs and solution alignment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Attributes for Success

  • Operational Credibility: Understands APD claims, carrier operations, insurance technology, or complex client workflows and can engage clients credibly.
  • Customer-Centric: Focused on solving real client problems and driving measurable value.
  • Technical Translator: Simplifies complex product capabilities into clear, solution-driven messaging.
  • Collaborative Partner: Builds strong cross-functional and client relationships.
  • Continuous Learner: Stays current on products, industry trends, and evolving client needs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
