The posting

Job Title: Part Time VPK Assistant

Salary Range: $15/hour to $17/hour

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assistant in implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Creates a learning environment, which is safe and child friendly
  • Demonstrates cultural diversity in the classroom
  • Assistant in gathering observation and screening data to guide instructional decisions
  • Adapts the learning environment to meet the needs of the children
  • Uses appropriate guidance strategies
  • Maintains a safe and healthy environment
  • Comply with licensing requirements and program guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications

  • 40 Hours DCF required childcare training
  • 5 Hours DCF approved early literacy training
  • Infant and Child First Aid and CPR Certification

Hours

  • 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Must pass a Level II background screening.
