Cardijn College is seeking a passionate, contemporary and committed educator to join our teaching team as a Permanent Full-Time Junior Primary Teacher at Cardijn College Galilee, commencing January 2027. As one of South Australia's leading R-12 co-educational Catholic schools, Cardijn College educates more than 2,300 students across three unique campuses and is committed to providing outstanding learning opportunities that empower young people to flourish academically, personally and spiritually. Cardijn Context Cardijn College is an R-12 co-educational Catholic school in the Marist tradition, deeply inspired by the dual charisms of College patrons Cardinal Joseph Cardijn and St Marcellin Champagnat. Educating and inspiring students in Adelaide's Southern Vales region since 1984, Cardijn has grown into a College across three sites, each with distinct offerings. With more than 2,300 students and over 300 staff, Cardijn College strives to be a beacon of faith in the community and to holistically educate young people to have a positive influence on the world around them. Cardijn College Marian Located at Noarlunga Downs, Marian Campus caters for students in Years 7-12 and is renowned for its extensive curriculum and vibrant co-curricular program, providing diverse learning pathways for all students. Cardijn College Marcellin Located at Christie Downs, Marcellin Campus provides a wide variety of vocational education and training opportunities for students in Years 10-12 and beyond, with industry partnerships that support successful career pathways. Cardijn College Galilee Located at Aldinga, Galilee Campus educates students from Reception to Year 9 expanding to Year 12 by 2030 in a learning environment where every student experiences a strong sense of belonging within a caring, inclusive and ecologically aware community. About the Role The Teacher - Junior Primary is responsible for creating positive, engaging and developmentally responsive learning experiences that support students in the foundational years of their education. Working collaboratively with colleagues, leaders and families, the successful applicant will foster a nurturing classroom environment where every child is supported to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We are seeking an educator who:

Demonstrates outstanding teaching practice in the early years and junior primary setting. Creates engaging, inclusive and play-informed learning experiences. Develops strong literacy and numeracy foundations for all learners. Builds positive and productive relationships with students, families and colleagues. Uses assessment and feedback effectively to support student growth and achievement. Supports the wellbeing, development and individual needs of every learner. Contributes positively to the life of the College beyond the classroom. Actively supports and upholds the Catholic ethos and values of the College.

About You The successful applicant will demonstrate:

Experience and passion for teaching in a junior primary setting. Knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices, early years learning and the Australian Curriculum. A strong understanding of evidence-informed literacy and numeracy instruction. Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills. A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing. A commitment to continuous professional learning and improvement. A genuine commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Cardijn College.

Essential Requirements Applicants must hold:

Current South Australian Teacher Registration. Accreditation (or eligibility for Accreditation) in Catholic Education South Australia. Current Working With Children Check. RRHAN-EC certification and all mandatory compliance requirements. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.
