The posting

The Integration Analyst executes the end-to-end finance integration of acquired companies, from Day 1 readiness through system conversion, cutover, and post-close stabilization. The role owns data mapping and conversion into Sage Intacct, sub-ledger and balance sheet transition, and the accounting support underlying net working capital and purchase accounting, and onboards acquired entities to the corporate close, reporting, and control environment. Partnering closely with the Director, Finance Integration, acquired company teams, corporate accounting, and third-party advisors, the position ensures conversions are accurate, fully reconciled, and audit-ready, while building repeatable playbooks across successive transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Day 1 Readiness

  • Partner with the Director, Finance Integration to build and manage each finance integration plan, maintaining milestones, dependencies, the risk and issue log, and status reporting for governance forums.
  • Coordinate Day 1 readiness, including entity and dimension setup in Sage Intacct, interim cash and disbursement controls, and finance communications to acquired company staff, vendors, and clients.
  • Oversee completion of treasury and banking transitions (i.e. bank access, signatory updates, etc.) by corporate treasury and banking partners, tracking items to closure before cutover.
  • Manage the transition period between close and cutover, including interim reporting from legacy systems, parallel processing, and tracking of transition services or seller obligations.

Data Mapping & System Conversion

  • Build and maintain crosswalks mapping legacy charts of accounts, payroll journals, and other source-system activity to the corporate account, department, market, and item ID structure.
  • Define the conversion approach and execute migration into Sage Intacct, including data extraction and loading, trial balance conversion, opening balance validation, and sub-ledger tie-out.
  • Convert master data and open items, including vendor master, customer master, open AP and AR, and recurring invoices and amortization schedules to Sage upload files.
  • Maintain mapping logic, conversion templates, and validation procedures as reusable assets for successive acquisitions.

Sub-Ledger & Balance Sheet Transition

  • Transition AP processes, including approval workflows, cutover timing, split-year 1099 reporting, vendor account updates, and corporate card and expense processes.
  • Transition billing, cash receipts, and cash application, and align revenue recognition, deferred and unbilled revenue, and allowance methodology with corporate policy.

Net Working Capital & Purchase Accounting

  • Prepare net working capital schedules and the estimate-to-actual bridge under purchase agreement principles, analyzing collectability, payable completeness, deferred and unbilled revenue, and accrued compensation.
  • Support the true-up through resolution, including seller inquiries, documentation of the company’s position, and analysis supporting indemnity claims, escrow release, earnouts, and holdbacks.
  • Prepare the opening balance sheet and partner with advisors on ASC 805 purchase price allocation; perform ASC 842 lease abstraction and right-of-use recognition for acquired locations.

Close Onboarding, Stabilization & Close-Out

  • Onboard acquired entities to the corporate close calendar, reconciliation standards, and flux review; validate results against legacy reporting and resolve post-go-live issues through the first close.
  • Integrate entities into management and operate review reporting and FP&A budgets and forecasts, and support audit of acquired entities and opening balances.
  • Complete integration close-out, including handoff to business-as-usual owners, records archiving, and reporting on integration metrics.

Controls, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with IT, HR, Payroll, Treasury, FP&A, corporate accounting, and acquired company teams, and train acquired finance staff on corporate systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain finance integration playbooks, templates, and desk procedures to improve speed, consistency, and quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of accounting or general ledger experience, including 2+ years in acquisition integration, transaction services, technical accounting, or audit.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%, including on-site work at acquired companies.

  • Experience supporting or leading financial integrations end to end, ideally in a private equity-backed, multi-transaction environment.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent workstreams, with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to construct auditable reconciliations and schedules that can be reviewed without verbal explanation.
  • Ability to work across legacy and unsophisticated accounting platforms with limited reporting or audit trails and reconstruct reliable data from them.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, Power Query) and experience with data migration tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and build credibility with acquired company teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
