The posting

CelLink is scaling its Georgetown manufacturing operation, and we're looking for a Maintenance Planner who can bring structure, discipline, and data to the way we plan and execute maintenance. You'll take upcoming corrective, preventive, and predictive work and turn it into well-planned, executable jobs with the right scope, labor, parts, tools, safety requirements, and timing in place before the technician steps onto the floor. You'll own the maintenance backlog and weekly schedule, work closely with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain, and use CMMS and equipment data to identify recurring failures, improve PM programs, and move the organization from reactive firefighting to planned and proactive maintenance. This role requires someone who understands what technicians need to execute a job successfully, and who also enjoys the analytical side of maintenance to help make the program better.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed job plans for corrective, preventive, predictive, and project work, including scope, task steps, labor/craft requirements, parts, tools, equipment, LOTO/safety requirements, permits, and quality checks; build and maintain standardized job plans for recurring work.
  • Prioritize work based on asset criticality, safety, risk, and production impact; maintain a healthy ready backlog; build weekly schedules with Maintenance and Production; coordinate planned downtime, changeovers, and shutdowns; and track schedule compliance and break-in work.
  • Ensure required parts, tools, materials, outside resources, and technical information are available before work begins; manage requisitions, kitting, staging, equipment BOMs, and critical spare-part levels with Storeroom and Supply Chain.
  • Ensure work orders, labor, parts, downtime, failure codes, asset hierarchies, BOMs, and equipment master data are accurate, complete, and actionable.
  • Analyze CMMS and equipment data, including MTBF, MTTR, OEE losses, downtime, maintenance cost, PM completion, and schedule compliance to identify repeat failures, bad actors, trends, and improvement opportunities; develop reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Evaluate PM effectiveness, frequency, and task content using failure history, equipment criticality, and condition-monitoring data; eliminate non-value-added work and transition time-based maintenance to condition-based strategies when supported by data; apply RCM, FMEA, and RCA principles.
  • Support root cause analysis with accurate failure data, capture lessons learned in job plans and PMs, and track corrective actions through closure to ensure improvements are incorporated into the maintenance program.
  • Plan and coordinate shutdowns, major repairs, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations; onboard new assets into the CMMS with complete PMs, BOMs, spare parts, and technical documentation.
  • Use CMMS/EAM systems, mobile maintenance tools, condition monitoring, equipment data, and analytics to improve planning and execution; identify opportunities to use digital and AI-enabled tools to improve maintenance prioritization, estimates, and efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles, including backlog management, job planning, weekly scheduling, and execution feedback.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, charts, and data analysis.
  • Ability to interpret maintenance and equipment data and turn it into practical recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as you'll be managing a lot of moving pieces.
  • Ability to work effectively with technicians, maintenance supervisors, production teams, engineers, and supply chain partners.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate across teams without having direct authority over them.
  • Knowledge of maintenance safety practices including LOTO, energy isolation, confined space, hot work, and electrical safety/NFPA 70E.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability, or a related maintenance function within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience using a CMMS/EAM system such as SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Fiix, eMaint, Limble, or a similar platform.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment sufficient to understand maintenance requirements and scope work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume, highly automated manufacturing such as automotive, EV, electronics, battery, semiconductor, aerospace, or similar environments.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or other data/analytics tools.
  • Experience with condition-monitoring or predictive-maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, or IIoT sensors.
  • Experience with RCM, FMEA, RCA, TPM, Lean, or asset criticality analysis.
  • CMRP, CMRT, maintenance planning certification, or formal maintenance planning/scheduling training.
  • Experience implementing, upgrading, or migrating a CMMS.
  • Familiarity with structured equipment failure coding and asset-management practices.

Working Conditions / Hours / Physical Requirements

Full-time/exempt.

This position directly supports an active, high-volume manufacturing environment operating on a 24/7 schedule. The employee’s regular work area may be located on or immediately adjacent to the manufacturing floor.

This is not primarily a desk-based position. The employee regularly moves throughout a large manufacturing facility and may stand or walk for extended periods. The position may require climbing stairs, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, or working in varied positions while inspecting, troubleshooting, or observing manufacturing equipment.

The role requires the ability to safely work around automated manufacturing equipment, industrial machinery, electrical systems, moving equipment, and other conditions typical of an advanced manufacturing environment.

The position may require work outside normal business hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays, to respond to significant equipment failures, manufacturing interruptions, production ramps, equipment installations, or other business-critical technical issues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
