  • Prepare and record journal entries with complete, accurate supporting documentation and appropriate approvals.
  • Produce and interpret monthly internal financial reports, partnering with business units to validate results, explain variances, and respond to management’s analytical questions and ad‑hoc requests.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations; monitor reconciling items to ensure timely resolution, and review stale or aged items for appropriate documentation and corrective action.
  • Record, analyze, and monitor monthly accruals across all operating areas, including real estate–related obligations for leased branches (e.g., property taxes, CAM charges, rent adjustments), bonus and incentive compensation accruals, miscellaneous payables, and other recurring or judgment‑based liabilities; ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Provide assistance with accounts payable research, invoice processing, and vendor inquiry support.
  • Respond to accounting inquiries with clear, well‑supported explanations and provide ad‑hoc reporting as needed.
  • Provide backup support for Controller‑level functions during absences or peak periods.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations by preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations.

Maintain working knowledge of the bank’s products, services, systems, and accounting policies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities. May be assigned work or training at other assigned locations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience; experience in banking, auditing, or regulated financial environments preferred.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and standard accounting practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and customer information with integrity.
  • Experience supporting month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, research issues independently, and propose solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues across departments and with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and spreadsheet analysis.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
