Success in this role looks like predictable delivery of the security roadmap, clear and candid status reporting to security leadership and executive stakeholders, and strong working relationships across Information Security, IT, Engineering, Product, Legal, Risk, and Audit teams. This role works closely with security architects, analysts, and control owners, and with business and technology partners to achieve security objectives and goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects, including initiation, scope, business case, schedule, budget, resourcing, dependencies, and closure; maintain integrated project plans and contribute to the security portfolio roadmap
  • Lead cross-functional project teams across Information Security, IT, Engineering, Product, and business units without direct authority; facilitate planning, status, steering committee, and decision-making forums
  • Track and report project health, KPIs, and risks to security leadership and executive stakeholders; escalate issues, resource conflicts, and decisions needing leadership attention with recommended options
  • Identify, log, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; coordinate risk acceptance and exception decisions through established governance
  • Coordinate delivery of security control, compliance, and audit remediation efforts (e.g., ITGC, ISO 27001, NIST-aligned frameworks) and support responses to internal and external audits and examinations
  • Manage vendor and third-party engagement for security tooling and services, including onboarding, deployment milestones, contract deliverables, and budget tracking
  • Establish and continuously improve project management practices, templates, and operational processes for the security organization, using agile and hybrid delivery approaches as appropriate
  • Drive change management, communications, and adoption planning so that new security capabilities, policies, and processes are understood and used across the enterprise
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by HR)
  • 5+ years of progressive work experience in Information Technology
  • 2+ years of experience as a project manager, preferably in cybersecurity or information security

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Project management methodologies, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, risk management, and stakeholder management
  • Working knowledge of core cybersecurity domains such as vulnerability management, identity and access management, endpoint and network security, security operations, and risk management
  • Proficiency with project and work management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar) and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security topics to non-technical and executive audiences
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and shifting priorities

Other:

• Able to travel occasionally - domestically and internationally

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Project management certification such as PMP or PMI-ACP; agile certification such as CSM, SAFe, or equivalent
  • Experience managing cybersecurity, risk, or compliance projects in a matrix organization • Experience in continuous improvement and agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Experience supporting audits, assessments, or certifications such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or ITGC/SOX

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong personal interest in security and controls
  • Strong presentation skills, including executive-level and board-level reporting

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
