Job Mission

The Business Solutions Manager is responsible for the market level roadmap, delivery and operation of key business technology applications across various domains, including Finance, Supply Chain, P&O, Retail, Marketing, clienteling, e-Business and client-facing systems.

This role is critical to understanding, aligning and translating the nuances of Singapore & Export Markets into regional, global roadmaps and the wider system landscape and, only where necessary, implementing or managing market-specific applications. Partnering with business stakeholders, regional Tech and Digital teams is key to the role, specifically to capture business requirements and manage projects, change and adoption.

In addition to the strategic application landscape, this role, in partnership with the regional teams, unlocks tactical opportunities for the business to improve processes and operations by leveraging automation and AI across boutiques, offices and distribution center.

You are energized by :

Business Partnering

  • Act as the key contact between business teams and the Tech and Digital function in Singapore and Export Markets (Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia), driving a simple and transparent roadmap that delivers market-specific requirements within the regional and global application landscape.
  • Business analysis: Understand market operations to enable proactive, efficient and clear planning. Capture, analyse and prioritise business requirements, ensuring that solutions meet both immediate and long-term business objectives.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans for all key initiatives, ensuring transparency across all levels of the organisation.
  • Take a holistic view of Tech and Digital project delivery for Singapore & Export Markets, ensuring that conflicting timelines are managed with stakeholders and regional teams.
  • Manage project progress, steering committees, budgets and resourcing, and proactively identify and mitigate risks that could affect delivery.

Change Management and Adoption

  • Champion change management initiatives, ensuring the smooth adoption of new systems, processes or ways of working, including training sessions or workshops for end users as needed to facilitate knowledge transfer and system adoption.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of project milestones, changes, and impacts.
  • Own the ongoing adoption of applications beyond the initial rollout and optimisation of existing application usage. Use key KPIs and measures to align each application with its business impact, and surface configuration, technical or process improvements to regional and business teams to deepen adoption.

Technical Competency and Application Lifecycle

  • Develop and maintain a holistic technical understanding of systems across the Retail Tech, Corporate and Digital Solutions domains, including their interdependencies and data flows.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for the design and implementation of local system solutions, ensuring that they integrate with existing ecosystems and comply with regional architectural standards.
  • Where required, evaluate and recommend system enhancements or new technologies to address market-specific needs and support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Manage the lifecycle of local applications, ensuring compliance with onboarding, maintenance and decommissioning requirements.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership in coordinating issue resolution and escalation with the relevant local, regional and global teams.
  • Ensure that solutions comply with applicable architecture, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk, procurement and regulatory requirements, engaging the appropriate regional and global teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

Automation and AI

  • Act as the key contact in the market to enable and leverage low-code and no-code solutions that address business opportunities.
  • Proactively understand the regional and global solutions available, engage business teams and propose solutions where a need exists.
  • Develop and deliver low-complexity applications within the agreed framework; for more complex solutions, leverage the regional automation team or external vendors.

Vendor Management

  • Where locally appointed vendors operate in Singapore and Export Markets: Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that appropriate partnership arrangements and ways of working are in place to deliver agreed service levels and value.

What you will bring

  • Strong business partnering and relationship management skills with an influencing mindset.
  • Solid project and change management experience with a collaborative, transparent and delivery-focused approach.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise business applications and integration landscapes across Retail, Digital and Corporate domains.
  • Ability to understand business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, automation and AI adoption.
  • Ensure that vendor management complies with Chanel’s procurement policies throughout the vendor lifecycle.
  • Understanding of low-code/no-code platforms, workflow automation and emerging AI capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies and stakeholders concurrently
  • Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, presentation and conflict management skills
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and urgency with a proactive approach to issue resolution and continuous improvement
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of working independently while fostering collaboration across teams
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving market, regional and external partners
  • Budget management and financial planning experience for technology and business initiatives
  • Rapid learning capability with the ability to quickly understand new technologies, systems and business domains
  • Retail, Luxury Retail, or Omnichannel experience (preferred)

Academic / Professional Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage but is not required.

Work Experience

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Retail, Digital and Corporate systems, with a demonstrated track record of successful implementations, ideally across more than one market.
  • Experience working within global enterprise landscapes to deliver and manage end-to-end project lifecycles involving multiple internal and external teams, market, regional and global stakeholders, vendors and consultants.
  • Experience implementing and delivering tactical solutions to meet business needs where enterprise solutions are unable to do so.
  • Experience across multiple disciplines, including IT operations, project management, business analysis, vendor management and change management.
  • Experience with retail and digital technologies, including POS, CRM, digital marketing and e-commerce.
  • Experience with corporate systems and technologies, including ERP, WMS, HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, BI and AI tools.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
