Role Overview

The PR Manager drives the day-to-day delivery of the company’s public relations activities, building brand awareness and managing media relationships across key markets. The role plans and delivers PR campaigns, manages press activity, develops PR content and customer stories, and monitors media coverage and performance. It requires a communications professional with solid experience in media relations and PR, strong written English and storytelling skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment. The role operates with a high degree of day-to-day autonomy, independently managing its own projects, workload, and media relationships within the broader PR and communications framework set by the team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute PR campaigns that drive brand awareness and strengthen Chaos’s position across target markets and media channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media partners, acting as a reliable and credible point of contact for press enquiries.
  • Monitor media coverage across relevant channels, analyse performance against PR objectives, and prepare regular reports and insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Organise and coordinate press events, media briefings, product launches, and promotional activities, managing communications and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop PR content, including press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, thought leadership materials, and other editorial content, ensuring consistency with brand tone and messaging.
  • Work proactively with key industry media across AEC, design, and technology to identify opportunities and secure relevant editorial coverage and features.
  • Identify, develop, and publish compelling customer stories, case studies, and testimonials that demonstrate customer value and showcase project success.
  • Conduct ongoing research into industry trends, competitor activity, and media opportunities, translating findings into recommendations for PR campaigns and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records across PR projects, including media contacts, coverage logs, and campaign reporting.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and other internal teams to align PR activity with broader go-to-market initiatives and product releases.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a PR agency, corporate communications, or an in-house PR role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing media relationships and delivering PR campaigns and projects end-to-end.
  • Experience creating PR and editorial content, including press releases, media pitches, customer stories, and case studies.
  • Working knowledge of PR and media monitoring platforms and project management tools.

Required Skills

  • Manages multiple PR projects and deadlines independently, maintaining quality, tracking commitments, and keeping relevant stakeholders informed.
  • Writes clearly and compellingly in English, producing press releases, pitches, customer stories, case studies, and briefing materials to a professional standard.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts and acts as a credible point of contact for the media.
  • Identifies relevant industry trends, competitor activity, and media opportunities and translates them into actionable recommendations for PR campaigns and activities.
  • Works effectively across Marketing, Product, and other internal teams to align PR activity with broader communications and go-to-market priorities.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.
