About the Role
The Express Lane Shop Supervisor oversees the daily operations of our quick-service department, keeping the team productive, the workflow moving, and service quality high. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising and developing employees, resolving operational challenges, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate is energetic, decisive, adaptable, and able to lead in a fast-paced automotive service environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, coach, and supervise Express Lane employees to maximize productivity and maintain department standards.
- Direct daily workflow, set the pace for production, and address obstacles quickly to keep operations moving efficiently.
- Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and maintain training, equipment, and department records.
- Ensure proper completion of inspections, multi-point vehicle inspections (MPVIs), video processes, and other required service documentation.
- Resolve customer concerns and operational issues promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with manufacturer and company standards.
- Monitor inventory, equipment condition, and department needs; communicate priorities and recommendations to the Service Director.
- Review department performance, prepare reports, and develop and implement action plans to improve operations and support department growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, customer service, and overall department performance.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, automotive, or service environment preferred.
- Automotive service experience or knowledge preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions, adapt to changing priorities, and effectively resolve operational challenges.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a high level of energy and accountability.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check
