The posting

More than 10,000 businesses are running AI agents on Chatbase. We started with self-serve, and now we're moving upmarket and building our sales team. Now we're opening Europe, and you'll be the first person building pipeline there, alongside our first European AE.

Chatbase is the AI agent platform that 10,000+ businesses use to talk to their customers, from fast-growing startups to global brands like Dolby, Roche, Pearson, Bridgestone and Chuck E. Cheese. Our agents resolve millions of conversations across support, sales and operations.

We launched in 2023 and we're profitable.

WHY NOW

This is the moment. The product is working, customers keep finding new ways to use it, and we're growing fast. Most of our biggest growth levers haven't been pulled yet. The people who join now will build the teams, playbooks and products that make Chatbase many times bigger than it is today, and they'll share in that upside.

→ Top-of-market pay, plus equity. We pay at the top end of the market, and everyone gets equity in a profitable company that's growing fast.

→ Ownership from day one. Small team, huge surface area. You'll own big outcomes and work directly with our CEO.

→ Early-stage upside. It's still early enough to get a lot of the upside, in a company that's already profitable.

THE ROLE

You'll open conversations with the companies across Europe that should be using Chatbase, win back former customers and help grow the ones we have. Great BDRs here move into closing roles.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

→ Outbound to European companies with 100+ employees, by email, phone and LinkedIn.

→ Winning back former European enterprise customers and finding expansion in active ones.

→ Working the European events circuit with our AE.

→ Testing the European pitch (GDPR, the EU AI Act, EU hosting) and telling us what lands.

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF

→ 1–3 years as an SDR or BDR, or another role where you had to earn people's attention. Early in your career is fine with a strong signal.

→ In Germany: native German and fluent English. In London: fluent English, and a second European language is a plus.

→ You're competitive, coachable and persistent.

WHAT IT TAKES

You'll be one of our first people in Europe, and you'll build our presence there from day one. We move fast and hold a high bar. If you want the steepest learning curve of your career and a stake in the outcome, you'll fit right in.

PAY & LOGISTICS

→ Germany: base salary EUR €45,000–€60,000, on-target earnings EUR €60,000–€80,000, uncapped commission.

→ London: base salary GBP £40,000–£55,000, on-target earnings GBP £55,000–£75,000, uncapped commission.

→ Equity.

→ Berlin, Munich or London, with travel to events.
