Speech-Language Pathologist: Full-Time Elementary School

Virginia | December 2026–June 2027

You care deeply about your students. Your team should care deeply about you. 🩷

Chatterboxes was founded by an SLP who believes that connection, clinical growth, and wellbeing belong at the heart of our work. We’re building a professional home where you can ask questions, share ideas, feel heard, and grow without losing yourself in the demands of caring for others.

Through our Sanctuary Model, we make room for regular conversations with your clinical leader, thoughtful collaboration with fellow SLPs, and relationships that extend beyond your caseload. We want you to feel connected to a team that knows you and values what you bring.

At Chatterboxes, we believe meaningful clinical work and a sustainable career belong together.

We’re an SLP-owned practice seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to step into an established placement in Virginia, from December 2026 through June 2027.

You’ll support an existing elementary school caseload while staying connected to a clinical community built around collaboration, growth, and wellbeing.

About the placement

  • Initial Coverage period: December 2026–June 2027
  • Schedule: Full-time, following the district’s school calendar.
  • Setting: Elementary School.
  • Caseload structure: The school’s speech-language services and evaluations are shared between this full-time position and another SLP providing 0.5 FTE support.
  • Service delivery: The current arrangement includes virtual services M-F.

What you’ll do

  • Provide individualized and small-group speech-language therapy.
  • Complete evaluations and contribute to eligibility decisions.
  • Develop and implement IEP goals, monitor student progress, and maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate with the other SLP to coordinate services and evaluations.
  • Partner with teachers, families, and the special education team to help communication skills carry into students’ everyday learning.
  • Support continuity of care throughout the coverage period.

We’d love to meet you

Apply with your resume and a brief note about your availability, Virginia licensure status, and school-based experience. Tell us what helps you feel supported and fulfilled in your clinical work, too.

Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • An active Virginia SLP license is required before services begin.
  • Thoughtful clinical judgment and a collaborative approach.
  • Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Comfort delivering elementary school services both in person and virtually.
  • School-based and teletherapy experience are helpful

Benefits

A professional home where connection matters!

We care about how it feels to do this work. Our Sanctuary Model creates space for clinicians to feel heard, build confidence, and stay connected—even when working in different schools or providing services virtually.

Our culture includes:

  • Monthly 1:1s with your Sanctuary Leader: Time to process challenges, celebrate wins, and reflect on your wellbeing and professional growth.
  • Clinical collaboration: Fellow SLPs to exchange ideas, ask questions, and work through clinical decisions together.
  • Leadership that listens: An SLP founder and clinical leaders who stay connected to clinicians’ experiences.
  • Optional opportunities to connect: A growing mix of coffee conversations, regional gatherings, and virtual connection opportunities that respect your time and life outside work.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
