As our next Strategic Account Lead, you'll work strategically with the business’ largest tradespartners to grow their business and maximise ROI on Checkatrade, while driving revenue through smarter product adoption. We’re looking for a true end to end relationship and revenue owner - you run and grow your book of business like its own p&l.

The job, unfiltered:

- Own a portfolio of high-value trade businesses end to end, and run a proactive outbound motion that grows revenue by getting them using and optimising the full Checkatrade suite.

- Build and run a clear monthly plan for every account, shaped by their goals, their data and the realities of their business.

- Influence decisions at every level, from owner to board, using performance data and a deep understanding of how trade businesses actually make money.

- Spot blockers before they cost revenue, then fix them. Design the processes and ways of working that make accounts run smoothly, so tradespeople can focus on growing.

- Build credible, high-trust relationships with senior stakeholders through regular contact and practical, strategic support. You’re their go-to commercial partner, not just their account manager.

The fit:

- A track record of managing and growing a significant book of revenue, with the results to prove it.

- A hybrid hunter/farmer mindset: hungry to achieve short-term revenue targets, while able to flex into building long-term strategic valued

- Real ownership of your portfolio, your performance and your commercial outcomes. You don’t wait to be told what to do next.

- Commercial credibility with senior decision-makers. You can challenge, advise and negotiate, and they listen.

- Resilience. When things don’t go to plan, you reset, adapt and keep moving.

- A collaborative, influential, people-first approach that makes people want to work with you, internally and externally.

- Confidence with CRM and AI tools, or the curiosity to pick them up fast and use them to work smarter.

- Adaptability and a willingness to learn quickly.
