The posting

We are expanding our team and have two positions available for Lettings Assistants to join our well-established, warm and friendly Premises Department. This opportunity would be perfect for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys building good relationships. The Lettings Assistant acts as the first point of contact for organisations hiring the facilities/buildings of the school outside of usual school hours and provides security, general site and housekeeping support as required. Good administrative skills are also desirable. A commitment to the role, combined with a willingness to be flexible in sharing and scheduling the workload, are essential components of this job. We would love to hear from you if you feel that you have the qualities that we require for this role.

This is a permanent position, working part-time (18.5 hours), working all year round, with an annual leave entitlement of 12.5 days (25 days pro rata), shift allowance and bank holidays.

We offer a positive and supportive workplace where staff go above and beyond to help students and each other. We provide excellent opportunities for career progression and advancement. Cheney School is committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and training the range of Continuing Professional Development is second to none.

If you would like to have a confidential conversation with Dylan Davies, our Facilities and Maintenance Manager about the role, prior to application, then please email [email protected] or telephone 01865 765726.

Early applications encouraged!

The school reserves the right to consider and interview candidates ahead of the closing date if appropriate. An offer may be made to an exceptional candidate in this instance.

Education has the power to change lives, communities and society for the better. At RLT we believe that we can achieve more for our pupils, trainees, staff and communities by working together rather than alone. Schools in RLT are united by a common belief in the benefits of working together, and by our commitment to shared principles.

OUR VISION is for our schools and SCITT to improve rapidly, continuously and sustainably: to be better faster together.

OUR ‘WHY?’ is that children and young people ‘only get one go’ in school and therefore as part of RLT we aim to ensure the best possible ‘go’ for our pupils.

OUR ‘HOW?’ is through the highest support and challenge for our schools and each other, underpinned by our principles.

Our employees benefit from a wide variety of support including extensive continuing professional learning and development opportunities, wellbeing and staff networks and access to Defined Benefit Pension Schemes (TPS and LGPS) for all staff. For more information on what it is like to work for the Trust, and the benefits you could access, please see our “Working in RLT” guide.

This role includes regulated activity relevant to children.

The River Learning Trust and Cheney School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and preventing extremism. The Trust is required to conduct a variety of checks and online searches about you as part of their recruitment process in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. It is an offence to apply for certain roles within schools if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
