Job Summary

As a commis cook at Cheval Group Private Limited, you will prepare and deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen, supporting senior chefs and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. This full-time position is based in Changi, the East Region of Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of dishes by following recipes and menu specifications under the guidance of the Head Chef and Senior Cooks
  • Deliver meals to customers on time while maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by following health and safety regulations
  • Prepare ingredients and equipment daily (mise en place) to ensure efficient service
  • Support the kitchen team during busy periods by adapting to changing demands and collaborating effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience as a commis cook or in a similar entry-level culinary role within the F&B industry
  • Interest in food preparation and passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to work efficiently with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork ability
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards
  • Own a vehicle if commuting from Johor, Malaysia
  • Willingness to work in a non-Halal kitchen
  • Availability to start immediately or on short notice
  • Willingness to work 6 days a week, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays
