The posting

Interpreter/Translator

Required Qualifications: Interpreter Certification

Interpreters translate spoken, written, language through ASL signed languages to help assist students who are deaf.

An Interpreter position carries the responsibility of conveying another individual’s thoughts and intentions, While the translation itself may not be exactly what the person is saying, the interpreter has to discern how the comment is meant to be received while maintaining the integrity of the conversation. The following are expectations in addition to the employee’s contract. These expectations are not all encompassing.

  • Translate a question or request clearly and accurately, conveying phrasing and intention as it relates to the subject.
  • Convert dialogue and convey the intent of the original speaker, understanding that many idioms and slang terms do not translate exactly between languages.
  • Assist in meetings and conferences with staff and parents.
  • Assist in contacting family members in emergency situations and to convey messages.
  • Assist parents/family members in communicating with school staff.
  • Participate as an active member of a student’s educational team.
  • Attend approved professional development activities that may improve professional competence.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Assist at multiple sites as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Coordinates With: Site Administrators, Staff, Students and Families.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
