Position Title:        Food & Beverage Attendant Department:          Food & Beverage Reports to:            Manager, Food & Beverage or designate   Our Mission: Offer unique and memorable experiences through fun-filled programs, activities, and events   Job Summary: The Food & Beverage Attendant plays a vital role in delivering a warm, friendly, and efficient dining experience to guests. This versatile, cross-trained role handles the entire guest experience in Chicopee Hall. Processing point-of-sale (POS) transactions, serving over-the-counter food and beverages, verifying order accuracy, running meals directly to guest tables, and maintaining the cleanliness of the area. By seamlessly rotating across these stations, the Food & Beverage Attendant ensures high-speed service, strict financial accuracy, and a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.   Roles and Responsibilities: Point-of-Sale (POS) & Financial Accountability:

Greet guests warmly and accurately process cash, credit, debit, and resort card transactions using the POS system. Accurately handle cash, credit/debit, and other transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system. Count and verify the cash drawer balance at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy and change availability. Take full operational responsibility for all transactions executed under your login, minimizing shortages or discrepancies. Strict adherence to all established procedures for opening, operating including cash handling, credit/debit and other transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, and closing the register and checkout area.

Counter Service & Food Handling

Serve over-the-counter food, hot/cold beverages, and grab-and-go items promptly while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

Continuously monitor and replenish over-the-counter food and beverages to prevent service bottlenecks during peak rushes.

Order Delivery & Floor Hospitality

Cross-reference every assembled order tray against the ticket receipt to ensure proper portioning, appearance, and specific modifications (ex: guest allergies) are accurate before serving. Transport completed hot and cold meals directly to guest tables or designated pickup zones using table numbers or tracking systems. Act as the final point of contact for dining guests, verifying they have everything they need (napkins, condiments, cutlery) and responding courteously to any immediate inquiries or concerns.

Promptly alert supervisors to any equipment malfunctions, inventory shortages, or unusual occurrences on the floor. Continuously monitor and replenish condiments, cutlery, and napkin stations to prevent service bottlenecks during peak rushes.

Facility Cleanliness, Safety & Turnaround

Clear trays, wipe, sanitize, and reset dining tables within 90 seconds of guest departure to maximize seating availability for incoming guests.

Maintain strict cleanliness standards across checkout counters, service lines, POS screens, and self-serve beverage stations in compliance with local health and safety regulations. Actively monitor high-traffic floor zones for melted snow, wet spills, or debris, taking immediate cleanup action to ensure guest safety and prevent slip hazards.

Return soiled dishes to the kitchen dish area, assist with light kitchen duties, empty garbage and recycling bins, and complete deep-cleaning closing checklists.

Other duties

Support other departments or roles during peak periods or when directed by management.

  Key Qualifications:

Previous experience in customer service or cash handling is an asset. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Team-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Physically capable of lifting up to 20.4 kg (45 lbs) and performing repetitive tasks. Takes pride in providing clean, efficient, and friendly service. Safe Food Handling Certificate (REG 493) and/or Smart Serve certification is an asset Bilingualism is an asset

Approachable, empathetic, and customer-focused. Must be flexible with scheduling; including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage. Must provide your own uniform in compliance with Chicopee’s uniform policy.
