Job Description
Pediatric Cardiologist | Fetal Echocardiography | Lincoln, Nebraska
No call. Primarily ambulatory practice. An established local team with the resources of a comprehensive academic pediatric cardiology program behind you.
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Children’s Nebraska is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Cardiologist with expertise in echocardiography and fetal echocardiography to join the Lincoln Specialty Clinic. Physicians at any career stage are encouraged to consider the opportunity.
Why physicians should take a closer look
- No call responsibilities: Call coverage is provided by the pediatric cardiology team in Omaha, allowing you to focus on your Lincoln practice without adding call obligations.
- An established team: Join an experienced full-time pediatric cardiologist and APP rather than building a practice alone.
- Primarily ambulatory practice: Build longitudinal relationships with patients and families, with opportunities for local NICU and inpatient consultation.
- Fetal echo at the center of your practice: Transthoracic and fetal echocardiography, ECGs and Holters are performed onsite in Lincoln.
- Academic resources without giving up a community-based practice: Remain based in Lincoln while staying connected to the subspecialty expertise and resources of the larger Children’s Nebraska pediatric cardiology program.
- Keep growing in the areas that interest you: Opportunities to rotate at the Children’s Nebraska main campus in Omaha can provide additional involvement in inpatient cardiology, echocardiography and the exercise stress lab.
The imaging program includes 15 noninvasive imaging cardiologists. The echocardiography lab has maintained IAC credentialed status for more than 20 years and interprets approximately 13,000 echocardiograms and 450 fetal studies annually.
