The Division of Pediatric Nephrology is currently composed of six physicians, five advanced practice providers, specialized nephrology nurses, pediatric dialysis nurses, transplant coordinators, renal dieticians, a pharmacist, nurse case manager, and social worker with access to child life specialists, music therapists, and education specialists. This is a unique opportunity in Pediatric Nephrology with unlimited potential for career advancement at a strong, rapidly growing clinical and academic medical center. The position includes a competitive salary and a faculty appointment at UNMC, commensurate with prior rank and experience, and the opportunity for early career leadership roles including medical directorships.

Our division provides full-service Nephrology care, including both inpatient and outpatient dialysis and pediatric kidney transplantation. Our physicians provide inpatient consultation and outpatient care at both Children’s Nebraska and Nebraska Medicine hospitals. Outpatient care involves prenatal consultation through transition to adult nephrology care. Our team works closely with our Pediatric Urology division and conducts multidisciplinary clinics with our urology providers. We participate in multidisciplinary prenatal consultations with Urology, Cardiology, Neonatology, Palliative Care and Genetics. As the only Pediatric Dialysis unit in the state, we provide comprehensive dialysis care including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT with NxStageTM and CarpediemTM. We also provide plasma exchange services at Children’s Nebraska. Our physicians manage the medical care of pediatric kidney transplant patients in close collaboration with the transplant program at Nebraska Medicine.

Exciting research opportunities are available, with potential support from the Child Health Research Institute, NIH ECHO and IDeA states funding. Existing research projects involve collaboration with Neonatology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, and industry-sponsored clinical trials. Our providers are active in research and QI collaboratives including the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium, SCOPE, IROC, WE-ROCK and ICONIIC.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
