SITE ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for bored piling, driven piling, diaphragm wall, micropile, and other foundation works
  • Monitor site progress, manpower, materials, equipment deployment, and construction activities to ensure works are completed safely and according to schedule
  • Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical requirements before and during construction
  • Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical and construction issues
  • Prepare and maintain daily site records, inspection requests, piling records, progress reports, and other project documentation
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements
  • Assist in planning construction sequences, work schedules, and resource requirements to optimize site operations
  • Monitor surveying and setting-out activities and verify pile locations, levels, dimensions, and other critical site parameters
  • Assist with technical submissions, method statements, risk assessments, and responses to consultants' technical comments
  • Identify site issues and provide practical engineering solutions to minimize delays and ensure smooth project execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant site experience in civil, geotechnical, piling, or foundation construction
  • Experience in bored piling, driven piling, diaphragm wall, micropile, or other foundation works will be an advantage
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, method statements, site coordination, and quality control requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage
  • Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and effectively with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and site teams
  • Willing to work on construction sites and take responsibility for site execution and progress
