About the role

Christian Servants Home Care, LLC is seeking in-home Respite Care Providers for children with special needs. This role is a great way to make an impact in a child's life, while providing relief to a primary caregiver in our community. This role will coordinate care with primary caregiver(s), provide companionship and supervise activities for a client in the Milwaukee area.

We are currently seeking PART-TIME in-home Respite Care Providers.

Duties may include:

  • Providing clients with assistance, companionship, and comfort.
  • Engaging with clients in suitable activities, such as socializing, playing games, or reading out loud.
  • Assisting clients, as needed, with mobility, personal hygiene, eating and drinking.
  • Light cleaning and/or providing support to household chores (as it relates to client needs).
  • Transportation to and from out-of-the-home activities
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Compassion for people
  • Professionalism - you must be dependable and punctual
  • Valid drivers license and active auto insurance (Most clients will require some form of transport for activities out-of-the-home)
  • Caregiver experience

Preferred Experience:

  • At least one year of experience with special needs children preferred (this can be experience supporting a family member or someone close to you, which may not be on your resume)
  • One year of caregiving experience within an in-home setting

Scheduling Note: As we enter the school year, we will see the majority of our clients are in need of respite care after school on weekdays (ranging from 3:00 PM through as late as 8:00 PM on average) and on weekends. While we do have some families with daytime hour needs, most are evenings and weekends.
