The posting

Job Summary We’re looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to help strengthen environmental, health, and safety programs at our Carson City facility. In this role, you’ll partner with employees and leaders across the site to identify risks, improve work practices, support regulatory compliance, and build a culture where safety is integrated into how work gets done.

Work That Matters At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. Whether you're improving processes, supporting operations, solving technical challenges, or driving business performance, your contributions help keep aircraft flying safely around the world.

Location: Carson City, NV Schedule: On-site, Monday through Friday during core operating hours, with flexibility to provide support during second shift and weekend operations as needed. Sign-on Bonus: $1,000

What You’ll Be Doing

Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements, along with Chromalloy standards. Lead and support site EHS programs, including ergonomics, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, fall protection, personal protective equipment, chemical management, hazardous waste, wastewater management, and air-emissions tracking. Partner with employees, supervisors, and department leaders to assess risk and integrate EHS requirements into work processes and facility changes. Complete qualitative and quantitative job and task risk assessments, then help develop practical solutions to reduce identified risks. Collaborate with facilities and engineering teams to incorporate employee safety and property protection into facility, equipment, and process planning. Develop training materials and facilitate EHS training that strengthens employee understanding of company policies and regulatory requirements. Support regulatory inspections, inquiries, reporting, recordkeeping, emergency-response preparation, and site drills. Conduct and communicate routine EHS assessments and inspections, including inspections of safety and environmental emergency equipment. Support the reporting and investigation of incidents, hazards, and employee concerns. Manage corrective and preventive actions, working with responsible teams to drive actions through closure. Communicate EHS performance, priorities, and trends to employees and site leaders through forums such as EHS committee meetings and daily Tier meetings. Support site physical-security programs and broader corporate EHS initiatives, including metrics reporting and audits

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. At least three years of direct EHS program experience in a manufacturing or repair environment. Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and risk-assessment practices. Proficiency with computer-based tools used for writing, training, presentations, reporting, and data analysis. Strong follow-through, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organization. Interest in expanding your EHS technical expertise and pursuing a relevant professional certification, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
