Job Summary We’re looking for a Machinist to join our team and help manufacture precision aerospace components using CNC and manual machining equipment. In this role, you'll produce and repair parts to exact specifications, work from blueprints and technical drawings, and contribute to the quality and reliability of critical aviation hardware. Prior machining experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality are encouraged to apply. Shift: This role is available on our 2nd shift (evening shift), with typical hours of 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.Shift Differential: Employees on 2nd shift are eligible for a shift differential of $1–$3 per hour, based on the assigned workdays.Sign On Bonus: $1,000 What You’ll Be Doing
Operate CNC machine tools, including grinding and milling equipment, to manufacture precision components. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation. Set up and secure fixtures, tooling, accessories, and materials on machining equipment. Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling as required. Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and pi tapes. Maintain close tolerances and high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Replace cutting tools and perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure product conformity and machine performance. Complete inspection and production documentation accurately. Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment. Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to achieve production, quality, and continuous improvement goals.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Working knowledge of precision measuring and inspection equipment. Basic to intermediate math skills, including measurements and calculations. Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and apply critical thinking to solve problems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Nice to Have
Experience machining aerospace or other close-tolerance components. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with grinding operations and advanced CNC machining processes. Previous experience operating overhead cranes. Vocational, trade school, or technical training in machining or manufacturing technology.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, and industrial materials. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to safely lift and move materials with or without assistance. Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to work safely around machining equipment and overhead lifting devices.
