Job Summary We’re looking for a Welder (TIG) to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform precision TIG welding operations in an inert chamber environment to repair and manufacture critical aerospace components according to established specifications and quality standards. Perform TIG welding operations on aerospace components in accordance with manufacturing specifications. Produce high-quality welds with consistent, repeatable results while meeting productivity expectations. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications. Prepare parts for welding, including grit blasting and related surface preparation activities. Follow safe welding practices, equipment operating procedures, and material handling requirements. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety, environmental, quality, and ethical standards. Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED. Previous TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of welding principles, welding materials, and general shop practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
Experience welding aerospace or other precision-manufactured components. Experience working with quality systems in a regulated manufacturing environment. Ability to obtain AWS-D17.1 welding certification. Experience working in lean manufacturing environments. Previous grit blasting or related metal finishing experience.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Manufacturing environment with exposure to welding equipment, machinery, noise, heat, and industrial materials. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of components throughout the shift. Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding and eye protection. Ability to safely lift, move, and position parts and materials with or without assistance. Must be able to pass applicable vision testing requirements if required for certification.
