Job Summary We're looking for a QA Lab Technician to support material testing, metallurgical evaluations, and laboratory operations within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll perform laboratory testing, analyze materials and processes, maintain critical testing equipment, and help ensure the quality and reliability of aerospace components used throughout the aviation industry. Shift: This role is available on our 1st shift (day shift), with typically hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.Shift Differential: Some 1st shift schedules may include a shift differential of $1–$2 per hour, based on the assigned workdays. Sign On Bonus:$500 What You’ll Be Doing
Prepare and evaluate material samples through cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching processes. Perform laboratory testing and wet chemistry analysis. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory testing equipment and instrumentation. Conduct inspections and evaluations of incoming materials, powders, coatings, and production samples. Support metallurgical analysis of welding, coating, drilling, stripping, and other manufacturing processes. Monitor and document laboratory test results, evaluations, and quality data. Assist with process validation, vendor material certifications, and product quality investigations. Maintain laboratory supplies, consumables, and testing materials. Support research and development activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED preferred. 1+ years of experience in a materials testing, quality, laboratory, manufacturing, or related technical environment. Experience working with laboratory equipment, testing processes, or analytical instruments. Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and document technical information accurately. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results. Ability to follow established procedures, specifications, and safety requirements.
Nice to Have
Training or experience in metallography, metallurgy, chemistry, or material science Experience handling chemicals and hazardous materials in a laboratory setting Familiarity with material testing methods, quality inspections, or aerospace manufacturing processes Experience using analytical equipment such as spectrometers, X-ray diffraction systems, or related laboratory instrumentation Experience creating charts, graphs, and technical reports

Work is performed in a laboratory and manufacturing environment Requires standing, walking, bending, and handling materials throughout the shift Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required May involve working with chemicals, laboratory equipment, and production materials in accordance with established safety procedures
