In this role, you will own the end-to-end Quality Assurance lifecycle across mobile, web, analytics, and hardware firmware environments. You will actively participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborating closely with developers, cross-functional teams, and Release Management to document test strategies, estimate QA scope, manage test environments, and ensure seamless Production releases. Your daily focus will combine manual functional, exploratory, cross-system integration, and accessibility testing with regular execution and analysis of automated test suites. From evaluating product requirements and tracking defects to analyzing Major Incidents for continuous test automation, you will effectively communicate test plans, metrics, and results to stakeholders while contributing to overall QA standards, release sign-offs, and handovers to Reliability and NOC teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategy & Agile Engagement: Participate in Agile ceremonies to estimate, plan, and document comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and QA standards across the team.
  • Execution & Automation: Perform manual functional, exploratory, cross-system integration, and accessibility testing across web, mobile, analytics, and hardware firmware, while regularly executing and analyzing automated test suites.
  • Collaboration & Defect Management: Partner directly with developers and Release Management to manage test environments, troubleshoot defects with clear details, validate fixes, and deliver Production sign-offs.
  • Continuous Improvement & Incident Analysis: Analyze Major Incidents and Emergency Changes to expand test automation, communicate QA metrics to team members, and prepare automated suites for handover to Reliability and NOC teams for operational validation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience creating test strategies, plans and test execution for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with QA for eCommerce, Point of Sale, and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications
  • Experience with QA for Mobile websites and Native Mobile applications (iOS, Android, Windows)
  • Experience testing of backend applications and APIs developed in Java/C# with SQL, NoSQL, ActiveMQ and caching technologies such as Hazelcast
  • Experience testing for apps with Web UI on multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) and operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS)
  • Good understanding of network topologies and technologies
  • Understanding of data management practices including good experience with SQL

Nice to have:

  • Scripting & Automation: Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and task execution.
  • Performance & Observability: Practical knowledge of web application performance and load testing, as well as experience using Splunk analytics to validate technical fixes and configuration updates.
  • Domain & Specialized Testing: Familiarity with payment gateways, payment terminals, and hands-on experience in accessibility testing.
  • Modern Infrastructure & Tooling: Exposure to Kubernetes, container-based application deployments, high-availability architectures in high-traffic environments, and defect tracking tools (JIRA).
  • Professional Mindset: Strong ability to work independently with high attention to detail, proactive follow-up, and effective multitasking in a fast-paced Agile environment.
