CIMMYT está buscando un(a) profesionista dinámico(a), innovador(a), proactivo(a) y con iniciativa para la posición de Ayudante de Campo para apoyar en los trabajos de investigación, apoyo en limpieza de semilla, instalación de equipo de riego, entre otras actividades.

Principales responsabilidades:

  • Apoyar en las actividades de preparación de campo, como la nivelación de terrenos.
  • Preparar las semillas para el próximo ciclo de siembra.
  • Realizar actividades de siembra manual o mediante maquinaria.
  • Apoyar en la recopilación de datos de los diferentes materiales de cultivo establecidos en campo.
  • Aplicar fertilizantes y nutrientes a los cultivos.
  • Apoyar en las mediciones de amonio y nitratos en suelo en el laboratorio de Wheat Wide Crossing.
  • Realizar mediciones de nitratos en tejido vegetal.
  • Apoyar en la preparación de estudios de microcosmos de suelo.
  • Realizar la cosecha de material vegetal tanto en campo como en invernadero, de manera manual o mediante maquinaria.
  • Realizar la trilla del material cosechado, de manera manual o mediante maquinaria, según sea necesario.
  • Apoyar en la logística y almacenamiento de muestras.
  • Realizar el trasplante de material vegetal en invernaderos o campos abiertos, según sea necesario.
  • Realizar cruzamientos de plantas en condiciones de campo e invernadero.
  • Ejecutar otras actividades relacionadas con los trabajos de Wheat Wide Crossing que sean asignadas por el supervisor.

Requirements

  • El candidato seleccionado deberá contar con estudios mínimos de secundaria.
  • El candidato seleccionado deberá contar con al menos 1 año de experiencia en actividades agrícolas, de campo, invernadero o en un puesto similar.
  • Se requiere que el titular del puesto tenga habilidad manual, atención al detalle, iniciativa y disposición para realizar actividades físicas y de campo.
  • Se requiere que el titular del puesto tenga conocimientos básicos en siembra, cosecha, fertilización, manejo de semillas y material vegetal.
  • Será deseable contar con experiencia en el uso de herramientas o maquinaria agrícola, así como en actividades de invernadero.
  • La persona seleccionada deberá tener capacidad para seguir instrucciones, procedimientos y protocolos de trabajo, manteniendo la precisión y trazabilidad de los materiales experimentales.
