Production Associate | Seasonal, Temp-to-Hire Potential
Bay Photo Lab | 920 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066 | $18 per hour, plus overtime
Our busiest season is here, and photographers across the country are counting on us to turn their best shots into gallery-quality metal prints, canvases, framed art, albums and gifts that people keep for a lifetime. We are looking for focused, hands-on people to join our production team. This is a temp-to-hire role, so a great season can become a lasting career. No photo lab experience required.
Make Cool Stuff.
You will help build the products that made Bay Photo a name professional photographers trust: metal, wood and canvas prints, framed prints, posters, greeting cards, calendars, Bay Books and albums. At the end of every shift, you can point to something you made.
Why You Will Like It Here
A path to permanent. Temp-to-hire means strong performers have a real shot at staying on.
Overtime available. Extra hours during our peak season mean extra pay.
Shifts that fit your life. Choose from four schedules (see below).
Hands-on skills. Get trained on professional production equipment and processes.
A great place to work. Clean, bright, climate-controlled facility in the coastal redwoods just north of Santa Cruz, a casual dress code, a leadership team that cares about its employees, and a Green Certified Business.

Build and finish products: laminate, install images, trim and cut, fold, bond materials, putty, bag and peel, and roll posters.
Keep orders moving: organize and move canvas orders, scan and print labels, sort, and inspect and pack finished work.
Deliver quality and pace: measure accurately with tapes, gauges and rulers, and keep up with established throughput rates.
Keep it safe and clean: follow safety policies, PPE standards and SOPs, and maintain housekeeping and 5S.
Keep equipment running (about 10%): troubleshoot basic equipment issues, report downtime and support repairs with Leads and maintenance technicians.
