The posting
Combine high-level technical data analysis to identify middle school students needing English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics interventions, monitor intervention progress, and build capacity in data-driven instruction.
Leverage advanced data manipulation tools (such as Microsoft Excel) to uncover achievement trends, monitor growth for the lowest-performing students, and support building- and district-level strategies for targeted student groups.
This position will be focused on identified student populations including Middle School Hispanic ASTI and other students identified through screening protocols who meet local Tier 2 or 3 requirements.
* Clean, merge, reformat, and restructure multi-source student datasets (state assessments, district benchmarks, diagnostic systems) using advanced Microsoft Excel functions (Power Query, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional logic, dynamic arrays). *Design and maintain user-friendly Excel templates, data models, and progress-monitoring dashboards that provide real-time ELA and Math performance summaries for teachers and administrators. Participate in the selection and purchase of high-quality data analysis tools, diagnostic systems, and progress-monitoring platforms tailored for middle school literacy and mathematics. *Query and analyze assessment data to identify students requiring Tier 2 and Tier 3 ELA and Mathematics interventions. Establish quantitative progress-monitoring protocols to evaluate student growth over time, running gap analyses to confirm whether current academic interventions are closing achievement gaps. *Audit and validate raw state and district data outputs to ensure data accuracy before guiding instructional decisions. Support Principals in preparing data for use with TBT’s, and Building Leadership Teams (BLTs) through structured data reviews using actionable data visualizations. Coach leaders on basic-to-intermediate data navigation, diagnostic interpretation, and the design of formative assessments aligned with state ELA and Math standards. *Conduct targeted performance analyses for identified student groups (e.g., Students with Disabilities, English Learners) to address the root causes. Partner with district leadership to translate macro-level data trends into actionable recommendations that strengthen Tier 1 core instruction and intervention frameworks district-wide. Keep detailed logs of data coaching sessions, data protocols, software procurement, and student growth metrics required for FY2027 TI NC SSI Grant compliance. Valid State of Ohio teaching license for assignment. Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution. 3+ years of experience analyzing student achievement data Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, dynamic formulas, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, data validation) and familiarity with K–12 Student Information Systems (SIS) or data warehouses. Experience coaching adult learners, facilitating data teams, and implementing Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) in ELA or Mathematics. Commitment to meeting the learning needs of all students. Good health and good attendance record. Additional qualifications as the Board of Education may require.
