Meet the Team

US Commercial is a critical segment for Cisco's growth and success. We are a high-energy, collaborative group of sales professionals dedicated to helping our customers navigate their digital transformation journeys. In this role, you will join a team that values innovation, agility, and a "customer-first" mindset. We pride ourselves on being customer-obsessed and solving complex business challenges with Cisco’s world-class technology portfolio.

Your Impact

As the Regional Sales Manager (RM) for the Potomac Region, you will lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of Account Executives (AEs) responsible for driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer transformation across mid-market and commercial enterprise accounts in the DC and Virginia footprint.

Responsibilities

• Drive Strategic Execution & Revenue Growth: Formulate and execute regional sales strategies to exceed revenue targets across Cisco's multi-domain portfolio (Modern Secure Networking, Security, Splunk & Observability, Hybrid Collaboration, and AI Infrastructure).

• Lead, Coach & Develop Talent: Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. Attract, mentor, and retain top sales talent while driving active career progression.

• Master Pipeline & Forecast Discipline: Lead rigorous weekly deal inspection, account plan reviews, and 3DD pipeline scrubbing with executive-level forecasting accuracy in SFDC/ExecConsole.

• Elevate Customer Relationships: Establish trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives (CIOs, CISOs, CTOs) across key regional growth accounts, positioning Cisco's unified platform value.

• Orchestrate Partner Ecosystem Co-Selling: Build tight joint go-to-market alignment with key Tier-1 channel partners (ePlus, CDW, Presidio) and regional specialty partners to scale pipeline velocity.

• Execute Multi-Architecture & Software Selling: Accelerate the transition to recurring software models (EA 3.0), driving full LAER (Land, Adopt, Expand, Renew) lifecycle execution.

Who You'll Work With

You will be a key leader within the Mid-Atlantic Commercial Operation (MACO) leadership team. You will work in close daily partnership with:

• Your Account Team: A dedicated team of Commercial Account Executives.

• Systems Engineering Leadership (SEM & SEs): Collaborating to ensure tight technical validation and solution architecture alignment.

• Architecture Specialists: Partnering with Security, Splunk, Networking, and Collaboration specialists to win multi-domain competitive displacements.

• Customer Experience (CX) & Customer Success: Ensuring rapid customer time-to-value and software adoption.

• Channel Partner Leadership: Driving executive interlocks and regional marketing campaigns with strategic ecosystem partners.

Who You Are

You are a dynamic, results-driven sales leader who thrives on building winning teams, coaching sellers to achieve their highest potential, and winning complex competitive battles. You bring deep knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic commercial market and a proven track record of software and platform selling.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience/Education: 10+ years of quota-carrying technology sales experience, with 2+ years of direct sales leadership / people management experience. Plus, Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. MBA preferred.

• Industry Track Record: Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota and driving double-digit growth within the enterprise/commercial technology sector.

• Market Knowledge: Established understanding of the commercial business landscape and partner dynamics in the Potomac / DMV / Mid-Atlantic territory.

• Platform Selling: Deep familiarity with enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, observability/analytics, and recurring software licensing models (SaaS / Enterprise Agreements).

• Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and C-suite presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed enterprise environment.

• Strong background in competitive takeout motions and partner co-selling frameworks.

• Experience leveraging modern sales intelligence tools (SFDC, PowerBI, Gong, AI sales assistants).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
