Summary The City of Temple is seeking a creative and organized digital learning and training coordinator. Operating under the general direction of the Assistant Director of People Operations, this role will play a pivotal part in modernizing employee development initiatives and will be responsible for designing and producing high-quality digital content to expand our growing learning library. Additionally, this position will provide critical logistical and administrative support to ensure Training and Engagement programs run smoothly and effectively. Activities may require occasional work on weekends or outside of core business hours.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Compiles and creates content for online learning platform (videos, presentations, reference guides, quizzes), consistent with City objectives, policies, and core values. Drives platform engagement by designing, promoting, and coordinating targeted training programs that align with development goals. Assists in planning and scheduling training sessions, creating agendas, and building online registration forms. Reserves training locations, arranges room setups, and coordinates necessary resources. Coordinates training calendars and post upcoming events on internal employee platform. Ensures in-person training sessions are well-organized, materials are ready, and participants have a seamless learning experience. Records in-person training attendance into Learning Management System (LMS), and processes post-training feedback evaluations. Assists trainers during live sessions by resolving issues and ensuring smooth operations. Maintains training and compliance records, tracks training enrollment, attendance lists, and completion rates. Schedules training recap meetings with People Operations Department Directors to review attendance, successes, and identified opportunities. Monitors training expenses and coordinates any adjustments with the Training & Engagement Administrator and People Operations Assistant. Assists with the collection and compilation of information for developing learning plans. Assists with communication distribution in partnership with Communications & Marketing regarding training, People Operations process and platform updates, and other events. Serves as the co-facilitator for New Employee Orientation and other training events. Partners with Training & Engagement Administrator in researching, evaluating, and engaging external training vendors to meet organizational learning needs. Collaborates with vendors and internal departments; ensures initiatives align with City guidelines and standards. Serves in a support role to assist with events, including annual Benefits Fair activities, proctoring civil service exams, recruiting events, and employee recognition events (occasional nights/weekends). Assists with special projects and in the coordination of employee engagement events, such as obtaining quotes, site preparation, supply ordering, and purchasing document preparation. Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

  Minimum Qualifications

Combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree in education, visual communications/media, business management, or a related field Two (2) years of experience in content creation, instructional design, digital education, or training Familiar with Learning Management Systems tools Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  Certification and License Requirements

Valid driver's license

  Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience with e-learning authoring tools and multimedia editing software Experience designing and editing training videos and supporting learning materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and related content creation tools Experience working in or with a governmental agency
