The posting

Civios ontwikkelt een open, vendor-neutraal integratieplatform waarop lokale besturen, softwareleveranciers en Vlaamse digitale bouwstenen samenwerken. We zoeken een gedreven Junior Developer met goesting om te bouwen: coderen, integreren, ontwikkelen met echte impact op de publieke dienstverlening.

Wat ga je doen? Je bouwt mee aan ons open integratieplatform en de bijhorende toepassingen. Afhankelijk van je interesses en ontwikkeling kan dat gaan over:

  • ontwikkelen en coderen van integraties, connectoren en API-koppelingen;
  • meewerken aan afgebakende MVP's en applicaties, waaronder onze marktplaats;
  • front-end- en applicatieontwikkeling;
  • procesorkestratie, workflows en monitoring;
  • koppelingen met (authentieke) gegevensbronnen en Vlaamse digitale bouwstenen;
  • security- en privacy-by-design meenemen in wat je bouwt;
  • technische documentatie opstellen en onderhouden;
  • automatiseren en experimenteren met AI-assisted development.

Je werkt met code review en begeleiding van senior collega's. In het begin bouw je mee onder begeleiding; op termijn neem je eigenaarschap over een afgebakend stuk van het platform.

Wat leer je bij ons? Tijdens het traineeship groei je in:

  • software- en platformontwikkeling;
  • integraties, connectoren en API-design;
  • front-end- en applicatieontwikkeling;
  • werken met (authentieke) gegevensbronnen en standaarden (o.a. OSLO);
  • security- en privacy-by-design;
  • AI-assisted development en moderne tooling;
  • kwaliteitsbewaking en code review;
  • projectmatig en agile werken;
  • de specifieke werking van Vlaamse lokale besturen.

We kijken niet alleen naar wat je vandaag al kunt, maar vooral naar het potentieel dat je wilt ontwikkelen.

Wie zoeken we?

Opleiding en ervaring. Een graduaat, bachelor of master in een ICT-richting is een pluspunt, geen vereiste. Ook autodidacten en carrièreswitchers met aantoonbare projecten zijn welkom. Uitgebreide werkervaring is niet nodig. Ervaring met minstens één programmeertaal (bv. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript of gelijkaardig) is belangrijk; de rest leer je bij ons.

Jouw ingesteldheid. We zoeken iemand die:

  • graag bouwt, codeert en dingen laat werken;
  • nieuwsgierig is en snel nieuwe technologie oppikt;
  • kwaliteitsbewust werkt en netjes documenteert;
  • problemen stapsgewijs en pragmatisch aanpakt;
  • openstaat voor code review, feedback en coaching;
  • zelfstandig werkt, maar ook graag deel uitmaakt van een team;
  • oog heeft voor security en gegevensbescherming;
  • affiniteit voelt met werk dat maatschappelijke impact heeft.

Kennis van API's, integraties, cloud, databanken of front-endframeworks is mooi meegenomen, maar geen vereiste.
