SUMMARY

ClarkDietrich is seeking an experienced Quality Control Clerk to assist is all areas of Quality Control, Receiving, & Purchasing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule inbound freight raw material
  • Assist with receiving of raw material
  • Completion and processing of all receiving documentation
  • Testing of raw material including obtaining of samples
  • Procure all plant supplies (Wood, PPE, Paint, etc)
  • Maintain Plant supplies inventory
  • File mill certifications
  • Maintain all paperwork for quality audits (SSMA, ICC, etc)
  • Pull mill certifications for orders
  • Ensure calibration of all testing equipment including proper record keeping
  • Verify quality sheets for completeness and accuracy
  • Data entry of various information
  • Any other duties required by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail
  • Time management
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
  • Ability to burn or cut
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane
  • Ability to operate an industrial lift truck
  • Basic mechanical aptitude

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Prior burning and cutting experience
  • Prior experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Prior experience utilizing quality control measuring equipment (caliper, micrometer, etc)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lifting-Up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing-8 or more hours per day
  • Walking-Off and on as needed, 4-6 hours per day
  • Body Positions-Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms
  • Grasping-Occasionally
  • Sitting-Off and on, 4-6 hours per day
  • Pushing Effort-Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50 lbs.
  • Pulling-Tools and finished product, up to 50 lbs.
  • Climbing-Occasionally
  • Climb up and down stairs-Occasionally

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Manufacturing facility - exposed to heat and cold
  • Personal Protective Equipment required at all times
  • Controlled Noise exposure
