The posting

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Site Lead to take end-to-end responsibility for the execution and management of renewable energy project sites across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The role will be responsible for ensuring timely, safe and quality execution of projects while coordinating with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, internal stakeholders and local authorities. The Site Lead will act as the key on-ground representative of the Projects function and will drive site execution in line with approved project plans, budgets, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Site Execution

  • Lead end-to-end site execution of renewable energy projects across AP/Telangana.
  • Ensure project activities are executed as per approved schedules, engineering drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor daily site progress and ensure achievement of project milestones.
  • Identify execution bottlenecks and proactively drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical and other project activities to ensure smooth execution.
  • Review and monitor contractor mobilisation, manpower, equipment and material availability.

Contractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors and other site agencies.
  • Conduct regular site review meetings and track action items to closure.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, commercial, HSE and project management teams.
  • Liaise with local authorities and other external stakeholders as required for project execution.
  • Ensure effective resolution of site-level technical and operational issues.

Quality & HSE

  • Ensure strict adherence to company HSE policies and statutory safety requirements.
  • Drive a strong safety culture at site and ensure compliance by all contractors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor quality of construction and installation activities and ensure adherence to approved specifications.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure timely closure of quality observations, punch points and NCRs.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project progress against approved schedule, budget and key milestones.
  • Prepare regular site progress reports for the Project Head.
  • Highlight risks, delays, resource constraints and critical issues with appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, records, approvals and project-related reports.
  • Support project management in forecasting completion timelines and identifying potential cost/time overruns.

Commissioning & Handover

  • Lead site activities related to testing, commissioning and project completion.
  • Coordinate with relevant technical and operations teams for successful project handover.
  • Ensure closure of punch points and completion of as-built documentation.
  • Facilitate smooth transition of the completed project to the Operations team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 18–20 years of relevant experience in renewable energy / power / infrastructure project execution.
  • Strong experience in site management and execution of large-scale Solar, Wind or Hybrid projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing EPC contractors and multiple site stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project execution, construction methodologies, quality and HSE requirements.
  • Good knowledge of electrical/civil/mechanical interfaces involved in renewable energy projects.
  • Strong project planning, coordination, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage site operations and take ownership of project deliverables.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and be based at project sites across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
