The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Bilingual Corporate Communications Specialist based in Canada.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented communications professional to support internal communications and strengthen engagement across a distributed organization. In this hands-on role, you will coordinate communication activities, manage editorial calendars and newsletters, and ensure that content is accurate, consistent, and delivered on time. You will work closely with communications and marketing colleagues to support cross-functional projects and maintain effective internal communication channels. A key part of your responsibilities will be reviewing French-language content to ensure it reflects Quebec's cultural and linguistic expectations, including content initially translated using AI tools. You will also monitor communication performance, maintain digital platforms, and uphold editorial and brand standards. This remote opportunity is ideal for a proactive bilingual professional who values collaboration, independent work, and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Accountabilities

  • Communications Coordination: Manage the communications calendar and coordinate daily activities, ensuring projects, announcements, and deliverables remain organized and meet established deadlines.
  • Cross-Functional Project Management: Collaborate with Marketing and other internal departments to coordinate communication initiatives, track progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Newsletter Management: Administer ContactMonkey and oversee the preparation, editing, and distribution of employee newsletters published twice monthly, as well as communications intended for managers.
  • Intranet and Digital Platform Administration: Maintain SharePoint and intranet content, ensuring information remains accurate, relevant, accessible, and up to date.
  • Internal Communications: Draft, edit, and distribute company-wide emails, employee announcements, and other internal communications that support organizational alignment and employee engagement.
  • French Content Review and Localization: Review French-language content, including AI-assisted translations, to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and alignment with communication norms in Quebec.
  • Employer Brand Management: Monitor and manage the organization's Glassdoor presence, including preparing thoughtful and professional responses to employee reviews.
  • Communications Analytics: Track channel performance, analyze relevant communication metrics, and prepare monthly reports to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Editorial Quality Control: Ensure all communications comply with AP Style, brand guidelines, editorial standards, and established quality requirements.
  • Confidentiality and Professionalism: Handle sensitive information with discretion, maintain high standards of integrity, and exercise sound judgment when preparing or distributing internal communications.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both English and French is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Education: Postsecondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, or a comparable field.
  • Writing and Editing: Demonstrated experience drafting, editing, and proofreading professional communications in accordance with AP Style and established editorial guidelines.
  • French Localization Expertise: Strong cultural awareness of Quebec communication norms, with experience reviewing, adapting, or localizing content for French-speaking audiences.
  • Digital Tools and Platforms: Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly PowerPoint and SharePoint. Experience with ContactMonkey and Asana is considered an asset.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent project coordination and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, communication channels, and competing deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to proofreading, content accuracy, formatting, consistency, and quality assurance.
  • Communication and Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and coordinate deliverables across departments.
  • Autonomy and Initiative: A proactive, self-directed working style, with strong follow-through and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Integrity and Discretion: A high degree of professionalism and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • Location and Work Authorization: Candidates must reside in Ontario or Quebec and be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer-sponsored immigration or work authorization support.
  • Competitive Compensation: Hourly pay ranging from CA$35 to CA$37, equivalent to approximately CA$72,800–CA$76,960 annually based on a 40-hour workweek.
  • Remote Work Flexibility: Work remotely from an eligible location in Ontario or Quebec.
  • Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with employer premium assistance.
  • Insurance Protection: Employer-paid life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and long-term disability insurance.

  • Employee Recognition: An employee recognition program that allows employees to redeem recognition points for gift cards.
  • Referral Incentives: An employee referral bonus program.
  • Employee Assistance Program: Access to resources and support to help manage personal and professional responsibilities.
  • Learning and Development: Training opportunities designed to support professional growth and career advancement.
  • Inclusive Workplace: An environment committed to equal opportunity, diversity, accessibility, and respect for different backgrounds and perspectives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
