ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the engineering team as a founding-level engineer responsible for the agent layer at a flexible-work marketplace and SaaS company. You will build production agent systems that connect with real-world business workflows, set patterns for how agents are built and improved, and work closely with company leadership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Own the agent layer end to end, including context systems, self-learning, evaluations, the agent harness, and the meta-harness.

- Build a knowledge base that accumulates information about undocumented systems and improves future integrations.

- Develop workflows that detect production failures, diagnose causes, and recover autonomously.

- Establish how agents are built, measured, and improved across the platform.

- Create tools and processes that enable teams to build, evaluate, and evolve agents quickly.

- Help grow the team and take on increasing leadership of agentic systems.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Two to nine years of professional software engineering experience, with a degree completed or in progress in engineering, computer science, or a quantitative field.

- Recent experience building and shipping agentic software in production, ideally in an early-stage startup environment.

- Strong experience with context engineering, evaluation-driven iteration, agent tracing, and production agent harnesses.

- Experience building systems that learn from accumulated knowledge or autonomously detect, diagnose, and recover from failures.

- Familiarity with TypeScript, Effect-TS, PostgreSQL, large language models, and agent evaluation tools.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Annual salary range: $150,000 to $300,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available, including O-1 sponsorship.

LOCATION

On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week. US-based candidates with a concrete relocation plan to San Francisco may also be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
