Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll work directly with the founding team to build AI agents that automate real operations in global sea and air freight. This is a high-ownership, full-stack role where you'll make foundational technical decisions and put product directly into the hands of users in one of the world's most critical industries.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Talk directly to customers and translate their needs into product direction and system architecture.

- Build full-stack features combining intuitive interfaces with intelligent backend logic, including LLM orchestration, agent workflows, and structured data pipelines.

- Push the limits of what LLMs and agents can do in production, tackling hard problems around reliability, latency, and evaluation.

- Scale from demo-quality code to robust, production-ready systems, making deliberate tradeoffs between speed and durability.

- Help shape the technical vision and product strategy of the company.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 3 or more years building full-stack web applications with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.

- Hands-on production experience with LLM-powered features, including prompt engineering, structured output parsing, context window management, and error recovery.

- Proficiency in React for building user-facing interfaces.

- Experience designing MongoDB schemas with attention to query performance and flexibility.

- Experience building distributed systems and serverless infrastructure, including handling concurrency, failure modes, and scale.

- Familiarity with observability tooling (such as Datadog) for debugging production issues across async workflows using metrics and tracing.

- Experience with LLM orchestration, agent workflows, and structured data pipelines.

- Demonstrated track record of taking full ownership of projects from architecture through delivery and iteration.

- Familiarity with vector stores and embedding pipelines for AI applications is a plus.

- Domain knowledge of logistics, supply chain, or operations is a plus, but not required.

- High-agency mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and genuine curiosity about how industries work.

LOCATION

Hybrid, based in Berlin, Germany. On-site Monday to Wednesday, with travel within Europe expected. Visa sponsorship is not available.
