ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the Engineering team to build applications and backend services that help researchers and domain experts create, review, and analyze research data. Your work will support core research workflows, from managing tasks and inspecting files to monitoring agent activity and comparing experiments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Build interfaces for creating tasks, reviewing files and video, inspecting agent actions, and comparing experimental results.

- Design APIs and PostgreSQL data models for tasks, reviews, files, and experiments.

- Connect applications to data pipelines and file storage, adding input validation, permission controls, and clear error handling.

- Work with researchers and domain experts to improve workflows, investigate bugs, and maintain performance as datasets grow.

- Test and debug software, incorporating user feedback into ongoing development.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining applications used by others.

- Strong TypeScript and React skills, or Python experience with a backend framework such as FastAPI, and an interest in working across the stack.

- Experience designing APIs and working with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.

- A practical approach to testing, debugging, and collaborating with users and teammates.

- Experience with annotation tools, research software, or interfaces for exploring large datasets is helpful.

- Familiarity with AWS, object storage such as S3, background job processing, or frontend testing frameworks is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
