Junior Application Engineer - Clicktouch

Clicktouch is een familiale en ambitieuze technologieonderneming in Gavere, waar we slimme HMI-oplossingen op maat ontwikkelen en produceren. Denk aan touchscreens, displays, embedded oplossingen en membraankeyboards die dagelijks worden ingezet in veeleisende toepassingen wereldwijd.

Van eerste concept tot productie denken we actief mee met onze klanten en vertalen we technische uitdagingen naar betrouwbare, duurzame en maakbare oplossingen. Onze technologie vind je terug bij internationale spelers zoals Liebherr, Miele, Picanol, Televic en Barco.

Om ons Engineering-team verder te versterken, zoekt Clicktouch een Junior Application Engineer. Je werkt mee aan klantspecifieke HMI-oplossingen en volgt deze technisch op van ontwerp tot productie. Daarbij krijg je ook engineering ownership: je bepaalt mee hoe we oplossingen bouwen, integreren en optimaliseren.

  • Van klantvraag naar werkend concept: jij analyseert technische behoeftes en help deze vertalen naar concrete, haalbare en maakbare oplossingen.
  • Je werkt aan elektronische en geïntegreerde systemen zoals membraantoetsenborden, touchscreens en complete display oplossingen.
  • Daarbij duik je in elektrisch ontwerp, PCB-design (printplaatontwerp) in Altium en embedded software (in C voor ARM Cortex-processoren), waarmee je de elektronica in onze oplossingen mee aanstuurt.
  • Capacitieve touchscreens finetunen? Ook dat hoort erbij. Je test, stelt af en optimaliseert tot de gebruikerservaring én technische performantie goed zitten.
  • Technische keuzes bekijk je nooit geïsoleerd. Je weegt performantie, betrouwbaarheid, maakbaarheid en kost tegen elkaar af.
  • Interesse in 3D-mechanisch ontwerp in Fusion of grafisch ontwerp in CorelDraw? Dan krijg je de ruimte om ook daarin te groeien. Waar je uiteindelijk meer nadruk op legt, kan mee evolueren met jouw talenten, interesses en ambities.

Van prototype naar sterke productie

  • Een ontwerp is pas geslaagd als het ook goed geproduceerd kan worden. Je denkt daarom mee over prototypes, werkinstructies en een vlotte overdracht van design naar productie.
  • Loopt er op de productievloer iets mis met een PCB, display of andere component? Dan duik je mee in het probleem en zoekt uit waar het fout loopt.
  • Je bouwt en verbetert tools en opstellingen waarmee onze oplossingen betrouwbaar en reproduceerbaar getest kunnen worden, over meerdere cycli heen.
  • Je zoekt mee naar technische optimalisaties en structurele verbeteringen om bestaande oplossingen slimmer te maken.
  • Bij kwaliteitsproblemen analyseer je samen met collega’s de oorzaak, voer je root cause analyses uit en werk je mee aan oplossingen die het probleem ook op langere termijn voorkomen.
  • Zin om met technologie te experimenteren? Je krijgt de kans om mee te werken aan integratie- en optimalisatieprojecten rond automatisatie en AI.

Je beschikt over:

  • een bachelor- of masteropleiding in elektronica, elektromechanica, embedded systems, automatisering of gelijkaardig
  • een sterke interesse in elektronica, hardware en embedded software
  • een analytische en hands-on aanpak
  • zin om technische problemen uit te pluizen, te testen en praktisch op te lossen
  • oog voor kwaliteit, betrouwbaarheid en maakbaarheid
  • goesting om samen te werken met engineering, productie, kwaliteit, project managers en klanten
