The posting

At ClickUp, we're building the future of work: the first truly converged AI workspace unifying tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search, all supercharged by context-driven AI. We are an AI-native company. Every team member is expected to leverage AI daily, and we evaluate AI fluency as part of our hiring process. Join us and help redefine what's possible. 🚀

We're hiring a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) who has already done this job at a SaaS company: someone who has led implementations, owned enterprise accounts and knows what it takes to drive adoption in complex organizations. You'll be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to our customers, combining strong relationship management with deep knowledge of ClickUp's platform. This role sits where customer success, solution strategy and technical enablement meet, and it drives long-term growth, adoption and measurable business outcomes.

TAMs own the full post-sales customer lifecycle. That starts with implementation and onboarding and continues through ongoing managed services, strategic expansion and renewal outcomes across your book of business. This role requires an AI-native professional who doesn't just use AI tools but designs, builds and scales AI-powered workflows and agents, and brings that hands-on expertise to customers.

TAMs lead with a customer-first mindset. You'll build success plans, guide onboarding and adoption and make sure stakeholders keep seeing value throughout their lifecycle. You'll support technical initiatives like process optimization, workflow design and AI enablement, and you'll also own the overall health, engagement and strategic direction of your accounts. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Product and Support so each customer's success story is long-term, scalable and impactful.

Technical Account Managers (TAMs) deliver measurable value and meaningful business outcomes across their customer portfolio by focusing on:

- Customer Enablement & Onboarding: Guiding new teams through implementation, onboarding and training for a smooth start and a strong foundation.

- Account Health & Engagement: Proactively managing user adoption, stakeholder alignment and account health to support retention and growth.

- Process Optimization & Solution Design: Working with customers to identify critical business processes, map them to scalable solutions and keep improving efficiency through ongoing refinement and performance insights.

- Innovation Adoption & Workflow Automation: Helping customers use emerging features and technologies, including AI and automation, to boost productivity, streamline operations and deliver real-world impact.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

TAMs are the strategic and technical owner of the customer relationship. They make sure every customer gets measurable results from ClickUp's product and AI feature set.

New Customer Onboarding

- Lead end-to-end onboarding and implementation of ClickUp, from discovery and solution design through training and go-live support.

- Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable ClickUp solutions, including workflows, templates, hierarchies and automations.

- Guide customers through foundational setup, integrations and enablement while promoting best practices, system governance and change management.

Account Health Management

- Monitor seat utilization, adoption trends and Champion/Stakeholder engagement.

- Build and run adoption plans and account reviews to maintain or improve health.

- Spot risks early and build recovery plans with the account team.

- Deliver ongoing change management and enablement so customers keep maturing on the platform.

Workflow Mapping (IER Framework)

- Run Intake → Execution → Reporting (IER) cycles for key workflows.

- Lead discovery sessions that map current-state and future-state processes.

- Recommend optimizations and create workflow templates that scale across teams.

AI Enablement & Agent Deployment

- Drive adoption of ClickUp AI and build custom workflow Agents tied to customer use cases.

- Partner with customers to define and deliver new AI automations aligned to their business KPIs.

- Provide technical training and consultation on AI and automation best practices, including prompt design, agent architecture and scaling use cases across teams.

- Track and report AI usage and credit consumption against plan.

Customer Success & Expansion

- Serve as the technical partner to assigned accounts and connect adoption to business value.

- Drive value across the full post-implementation lifecycle by providing continued and managed services as customers expand their use of ClickUp.

- Generate qualified leads through data-driven insights and AI usage analysis.

- Drive cross-functional alignment to position renewals, expansions and AI upsells.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Act as the voice of the customer by turning business objectives and pain points into actionable insights for Product, Engineering and Support.

- Partner with account teams to keep delivery and success aligned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- 5+ years in a customer-facing SaaS role (Technical Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, Implementation Manager, Solutions Consultant, Professional Services Consultant or similar)

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com http://Monday.com, Smartsheet, Wrike, Jira or a comparable work management/project management platform

- Direct experience leading enterprise SaaS implementations or onboarding programs end-to-end, and/or a proven track record managing a book of business ($2M+ ARR) with measurable retention and expansion outcomes

- Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI-powered workflows, agents or automations in a business context

- Strong project and program management skills, including complex, multi-stakeholder engagements

Preferred

- Background in professional services, implementation management or consulting at a SaaS company

- Hands-on experience with agentic tools and frameworks such as Claude, n8n, Make, Zapier or LangChain

- Technical aptitude with integrations, APIs, automation logic and data modeling

- Experience positioning or selling services alongside renewals and expansions

CORE SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of work management platform capabilities, automation logic, integrations and AI Agent functionality. Able to turn business needs into technical solutions.

- AI-Native: Demonstrated experience designing and scaling AI-powered workflows, agents and automations, not just using AI tools. Skilled at identifying and scoping AI use cases and consumption plans.

- Consultative Discovery: Excellent at workflow analysis, process design and finding friction points. Uses structured discovery to map customer needs into scalable solutions.

- Project & Program Management: Manages complex customer programs with multiple stakeholders, deadlines and outcomes. Skilled at running structured account plans.

- Data & Reporting: Comfortable using dashboards and metrics to communicate health, adoption and ROI. Reads usage data to drive recommendations.

- Customer Engagement: Executive presence and strong communication skills. Builds trust with both executive (ATL) and day-to-day (BTL) stakeholders through credibility and clarity.

- Account Ownership: Fully accountable for an assigned book of business. Proactive, organized and driven to hit measurable outcomes.

- Collaboration & Influence: Works cross-functionally with the account team, Product and Sales to align on outcomes. Influences without authority through insight and results.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

- You've worked at, implemented or sold against project management or work management platforms.

- You've run enterprise implementations and know change management firsthand.

- You think in workflows and systems, not just relationships.

- You've built something with AI that a team actually runs on, and you can walk us through how it works.

- You've carried a renewal or expansion number and know how to tie technical value to commercial outcomes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
