Production Woodworking Associate

Closet Factory

Location: [Indianapolis, Indiana]

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $17–$22/hour, based on experience (paid biweekly)

We maintain exclusive relationships with some of the biggest names in the industry, including serving as the exclusive provider of custom spaces for Lowe's and Costco, and our factories run steady, year-round production.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a Production Woodworking Associate to join our growing factory team. You'll help manufacture and assemble custom closet and home organization systems to precise design specifications, working hands-on with both traditional tools and state-of-the-art equipment like a sliding table saw and edge bander. We welcome all experience levels — from hobbyists and apprentices to seasoned cabinet makers — and provide comprehensive training to set you up for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and prepare custom wood and melamine components to exact specifications
  • Operate and assist with production machinery, including a sliding table saw, edge bander, and other boring equipment.
  • Assemble components and collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished pieces meet design and craftsmanship standards
  • Follow all safety protocols for equipment operation and material handling
  • Keep the production floor organized and maintain equipment and workspace cleanliness
  • Assist with moving materials between workstations as needed
  • Must be willing to train and work with our commercial sliding table saw to cut material to fit

Qualifications

  • Prior woodworking, cabinetry, or manufacturing/factory experience preferred, but not required — we train motivated beginners
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort learning new equipment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical tasks for a full shift
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
