  • Conduct enterprise AML risk assessments.
  • Oversee onboarding, KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring and sanctions controls.
  • Act as MLRO where designated.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial crime controls through automation and AI.

Business Partnership

  • Partner with Commercial, Product and Operations to support business growth while maintaining an appropriate risk appetite.

  • Participate in governance forums and represent Compliance in senior business discussions.

Leadership & Delivery

  • Take ownership of projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Deliver against agreed objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Escalate risks early together with practical recommendations.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Contribute positively to the wider Global AML leadership team.

Communication

  • Communicate confidently with regulators, banks, payment partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.
  • Produce clear written policies, committee papers and regulatory submissions.
  • Deliver engaging compliance training to regional teams.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • 10+ years’ experience within financial services, fintech or payments.
  • Significant experience operating within the Hong Kong AML regulatory framework.
  • Experience working directly with regulators and banking partners.
  • Strong understanding of MSO licensing obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven record of delivering projects independently.
  • Ability to work at pace and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing fintech environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance regulatory obligations with business objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written). Cantonese is a must.
  • CAMS, ICA Diploma or equivalent professional qualification.

Success Measures (First 12 Months)

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Maintain a strong regulatory relationship with zero significant supervisory issues.
  • Deliver regulatory submissions accurately and on time.
  • Support commercial expansion without unnecessary compliance delays.
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation and process improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships across APAC and global teams.
  • Deliver high-quality compliance advice that enables business growth while protecting the company.
  • Demonstrate accountability, ownership and proactive leadership.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and incentive structure.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
