Your Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Governance

  • Own quality engineering strategy, test architecture, quality gates and assurance planning.
  • Establish traceable acceptance criteria and release-readiness evidence.

Test Design & Automation

  • Design and maintain risk-based testing approaches.
  • Build automation across: Unit testing, API testing, Contract testing, Component testing, Integration testing, UI testing, End-to-end testing.

Distributed & Event-Driven Validation

  • Validate: Message ordering, Retry mechanisms, Duplicate handling, Timeout scenarios, Dependency degradation, Data reconciliation, Partial-failure recovery.

Simulation & Test Platforms

  • Design simulators, stubs, test harnesses and representative datasets for external platforms and connected systems.

Integration & End-to-End Testing

  • Lead validation activities across internally developed platforms, vendor solutions, cloud services and enterprise integrations.

Non-Functional Testing

  • Design and execute testing for: Performance, Load, Scalability, Resilience, Failover, Backup & restore, Recovery, Security, Observability.

Data Quality Assurance

  • Establish testing and controls for: Data completeness, Accuracy, Timeliness, Transformation integrity, Data lineage, Duplication checks.

CI/CD Quality Controls

  • Embed automated testing and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure traceability and clear release criteria.

Defect Management

  • Lead defect triage, severity assessment and root-cause analysis.
  • Drive corrective and preventive improvements.

Release Assurance

  • Provide independent release recommendations based on risk, testing results, residual issues and operational readiness.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with product owners, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity stakeholders, engineers and vendors to drive quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain: Test strategy, Traceability matrix, Regression suites, Test data approaches, Environment requirements, Quality reports, Defect metrics, Release assessments, Handover documentation.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 3–5+ years of quality engineering, software testing or test automation experience.
  • Experience supporting complex production systems.

Technical Testing Skills

  • Experience designing and implementing: API tests, Integration tests, UI automation, End-to-end automation.

Distributed System Testing

  • Experience testing asynchronous and event-driven systems with eventual consistency and recovery scenarios.

Integration & Data Validation

  • Experience validating: REST APIs, Messaging systems, Streaming platforms, Databases, Data-intensive workflows.

Test Environment Management

  • Strong understanding of: Test data management, Service virtualization, Simulators, Mocks, Stubs.

Security Testing

  • Working knowledge of: Authentication, Authorization, Input validation, Secrets handling, Dependency vulnerabilities, Remediation practices.

Vendor Quality Review

  • Ability to assess vendor test evidence, identify coverage gaps and require corrective actions.

Communication

  • Strong ability to communicate testing outcomes, quality risks and release recommendations.

Regulated Environments

  • Comfortable working where auditability, traceability, data integrity and controlled release processes are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST-assured, Postman/Newman, JMeter, k6 or equivalent tools.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tooling for test generation, maintenance and documentation.
  • Testing, cloud or agile certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
