Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to support mining operations in Madagascar. The role involves mine planning, optimization of production processes, and ensuring safe and efficient mining activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in open-pit or underground mining and a strong understanding of operational and safety standards. This opportunity is open to Tanzanian professionals willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mine plans (open-pit or underground).
  • Optimize mining operations to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor daily mining activities and ensure adherence to plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct analysis of mining data and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with geology, processing, and operations teams.
  • Support cost control and resource optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare technical reports and production forecasts.
  • Monitor equipment usage and operational performance.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in mine planning or similar engineering roles
  • Experience in open-pit or underground mining operations.
  • Strong understanding of mining operations and safety standards.
  • Ability to analyze data and improve operational performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluency in English or French.
  • Willingness to relocate to Madagascar.
