The Sales Manager will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by providing superior customer service and selling products and services that maximize revenues, as identified in Coast Hotels' strategic plan. This is a temporary maternity/parental leave coverage position, expected to be approximately 14 months in duration, with an ideal start date in November 2026. The successful candidate will have previous hotel sales experience and be comfortable balancing proactive sales activities, client relationship management, and administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities
Acts as a key point of contact for clients, qualifying business opportunities and liaising with external customers and internal departments to ensure successful service delivery.
Manages incoming sales leads, responds to client inquiries, and proactively identifies opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
Promotes Coast Hotels' products and services, including identifying cross-property sales opportunities.
Develops and maintains relationships with corporate clients, individual business travel accounts, and group business.
Prepares accurate and professional proposals, quotations, contracts, reports, sales memos, and client correspondence.
Maintains detailed and up-to-date client records and ensures timely administrative follow-up.
Assists with the organization and execution of sales campaigns, tradeshows, and other promotional activities.
Establishes and communicates clear objectives, targets, and operational quality standards for Sales.
Supports revenue maximization through effective sales and yield management practices.
Participates in site inspections, client appointments, and client events to develop business opportunities.
Provides exceptional customer service by anticipating client needs, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to exceed expectations.
Collaborates with other hotel departments to ensure client requirements are communicated and delivered effectively.
Resolves issues and escalates concerns when necessary.
Performs other duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required Qualifications:
Previous hotel sales experience is mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of related sales experience, including experience within the hotel industry.
Secondary school diploma.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an excellent telephone manner and demonstrated ability to sell hotel products and services.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong administrative capabilities, including preparing contracts, proposals, reports, and client correspondence.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment.

Strong Assets:
Experience in corporate business travel and/or group sales.
Previous experience as a Sales Coordinator with demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and take on additional sales responsibilities.
