MDP Informatica Developer/Architect

The Informatica Architect / Consultant / Developer role sits within the Modern Data Platform (MDP) domain and is central to delivering enterprise-grade data transformation outcomes for our clients. This role supports the design, build and evolution of governed, scalable and insight-ready data platforms, helping organisations move from fragmented and low-trust data environments to modern ecosystems that improve decision quality, strengthen governance and accelerate value realisation.

Success in this role requires a combination of strong Informatica capability, disciplined delivery execution and the ability to engage credibly with both technical and business stakeholders. Working across architecture, engineering and program teams, you will help shape practical, fit-for-purpose solutions that connect trusted data to strategic outcomes, support major transformation initiatives and enable clients to operate with greater confidence, efficiency and future readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Experience and Competencies

  • Design and deliver modern data platform solutions using Informatica across data integration, ingestion, quality, governance, lineage and master/reference data capabilities.
  • Translate business and reporting requirements into scalable data designs, reusable integration patterns and implementation roadmaps aligned to IP&SI delivery methods.
  • Define solution architecture, data flows, mappings, transformation logic, controls and non-functional requirements for enterprise data programs.
  • Lead or contribute to data platform modernisation initiatives including migration from legacy warehouses and siloed data environments to cloud-based, governed platforms.
  • Implement and optimise Informatica services for data ingestion, ETL/ELT, data quality, metadata management, catalogue, lineage and governance workflows.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, analysts, testers, PMO and client stakeholders to ensure requirements traceability, delivery quality and operational readiness.
  • Embed security, privacy, access controls and auditability into data solutions in line with governance and compliance expectations.
  • Support estimation, planning, design assurance, testing, deployment, hypercare and continuous improvement activities across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, standards and reference patterns that improve consistency, speed and quality across the MDP practice.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica products relevant to enterprise data platforms, such as Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), PowerCenter, Data Quality, Data Governance and Catalog, Master Data Management, Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Application Integration and Metadata Command Center.
  • Strong understanding of modern data platform concepts including cloud-native architecture, data lakes/lakehouse patterns, batch and real-time ingestion, data warehousing and analytics enablement.
  • Experience designing source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, reusable pipelines, data quality rules, lineage and governance controls.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, modelling, metadata management, master/reference data, data cataloguing and data lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong understanding of relational, semi-structured and unstructured data processing patterns.
  • Experience integrating enterprise platforms and cloud ecosystems, including data sources such as ERP, CRM, HCM, SaaS and operational systems.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and controlled release practices for data platform delivery.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, access controls, auditability and regulatory considerations in enterprise data solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and analytics ecosystems such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or similar is advantageous.

Experience (Role Level Determination)

Informatica Architect

  • Typically 8+ years in data integration, data architecture or modern data platform delivery, with substantial experience leading Informatica solution design across enterprise-scale programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to define target-state architecture, govern design decisions, lead technical teams and engage senior stakeholders on scope, trade-offs, quality and delivery outcomes.

Informatica Consultant

  • Typically 4+ years in data integration, ETL/ELT, data quality or data platform implementation, with practical experience delivering Informatica-based workstreams in project environments.
  • Able to work across requirements gathering, detailed design, build, testing, deployment and stakeholder collaboration with growing ownership of deliverables and solution quality.

Informatica Developer

  • Typically 2+ years in ETL/ELT, data engineering, reporting or application/data integration, with hands-on development experience using Informatica or comparable enterprise data tooling.
  • Capable of developing mappings, pipelines, data quality rules, unit tests and documentation while working under established standards, patterns and technical guidance.

Competencies

  • Data product mindset, treating data assets, quality controls, lineage and governance outputs as strategic products with clear ownership, consumers, standards and lifecycle management.
  • Business-to-technical translation and collaboration, working with stakeholders and delivery teams to shape requirements and convert them into practical Informatica-enabled solution designs and delivery plans.
  • Governance and security by design, embedding quality, privacy, access, lineage, metadata and compliance requirements into the data solution from the outset.
  • Strategic problem solving, able to assess complex data challenges, identify practical solution pathways and balance business outcomes, technical quality and delivery constraints.
  • Stakeholder influence and communication, with the ability to build credibility, align diverse teams and communicate data concepts, risks and decisions clearly to both business and technical audiences.
  • Continuous improvement and delivery discipline, applying standards, lessons learned and reusable assets to improve quality, reduce rework and strengthen consistency across engagements.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Informatica certifications are highly regarded, particularly across IDMC, PowerCenter, Data Quality, MDM or Data Governance products.
  • Cloud platform certifications in Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake or related technologies are advantageous.
  • Agile, DevOps, data governance or architecture certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.

What Success Looks Like

  • Data integration, quality and governance solutions are delivered to a high standard, with clear traceability from requirements through to production outcomes.
  • Business and technical stakeholders have confidence in the quality, lineage, usability and control of critical data assets.
  • Reusable patterns, standards and accelerators are applied to reduce delivery risk, improve speed to value and support scalable implementation.
  • Solutions are secure, supportable and aligned to governance, compliance and operational readiness expectations.
  • The role contributes to stronger client outcomes by connecting trusted data, improving decision-making and enabling AI-ready, modern operations.

Additional Requirements & Eligibility

  • Right to work in the Philippines: must hold (and maintain) the appropriate visa/work authorisation for the role and assignment length.
  • Hold a current passport suitable for business travel (including the ability to obtain visas as required) and be willing to travel where needed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
