You will bring excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for customer care.

As an Event Security Officer, you will be a key member of our frontline team, reporting to an Operations Manager and any supervisors or team leaders they appoint.

Typical duties include:

You will inspire confidence, demonstrate professionalism, and maintain the ability to remain calm, proportionate, and decisive, even under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all guests.
  • Implement venue search and admission policies in a respectful, compliant, and customer-focused manner.
  • Proactively patrol the venue to identify safety issues, potential risks, and obstructions to escape routes.
  • Professionally and proportionately defuse conflict and manage hostility using approved techniques.
  • Competently and appropriately use physical intervention techniques when required and lawful.
  • Maintain accurate records of venue occupancy, checks, and operational occurrences.
  • Respond promptly to support colleagues and react swiftly to observed threats, incidents, or alarm activations.
  • Investigate suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity, sharing information with colleagues, management, and police partners where appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain clear, accurate incident reports and written records in the required format.
  • Where lawful and necessary, detain suspects, and liaise with police to preserve evidence, provide statements, and support investigations.
  • Support stakeholders and event organisers as far as is reasonable and within assignment instructions.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Company at all times, maintaining excellent standards of behaviour, presentation, and professionalism.

Requirements and Skills

  • Frontline SIA Licence in Door Supervision or Close Protection.
  • Full UK Driving Licence highly desirable but not essential.
  • First Aid at Work qualification (3-day).
  • Proven experience as an event security officer.
  • Strong written communication skills and confidence in report writing.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
