The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Partnership Engagement and Communications Manager based in the United States.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen philanthropic partnerships and expand access to technology education and career opportunities. You will lead donor engagement initiatives, high-impact events, fundraising communications, and seasonal giving campaigns that connect supporters with meaningful outcomes. Working across teams, you will transform student success stories, program data, and organizational impact into compelling narratives and polished visual assets. You will also build scalable systems, reusable templates, and AI-powered workflows that improve the efficiency and quality of fundraising communications. With significant ownership and autonomy, you will manage complex projects from initial strategy through execution and evaluation. This position is ideal for a creative, strategic, and hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to expanding educational opportunities in the AI era.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of donor cultivation and stewardship events, including audience targeting, contact lists, attendance tracking, logistics, and engagement objectives.
  • Develop event programs, speaker briefs, presentations, and donor experiences in collaboration with fundraising and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage thought leadership and external engagement initiatives, including joint public relations campaigns, announcements, opinion pieces, panels, and special events.
  • Coordinate event preparation with executive leadership, marketing, public relations partners, and other stakeholders, ensuring consistent messaging and smooth execution.
  • Represent the Philanthropy Partnerships team at key events, overseeing on-site logistics, presentation materials, signage, and event delivery.
  • Capture and repurpose event content, including student stories, photography, and video, for future fundraising and donor communications.
  • Research and recommend conferences and external engagement opportunities that can expand networks, strengthen relationships, and generate new fundraising prospects.
  • Build and maintain a centralized library of reusable fundraising materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, program descriptions, impact graphics, and visual templates.
  • Translate student experiences, program outcomes, and impact metrics into compelling fundraising narratives and visual assets, collaborating with grant-writing colleagues to keep materials accurate and relevant.
  • Establish brand-consistent design systems, editorial calendars, asset-refresh processes, and AI-enabled workflows that streamline content production and increase team capacity.
  • Project-manage the annual report, coordinating designers, funder outreach and approvals, student stories, and written content while meeting production deadlines.
  • Lead end-of-year giving and other seasonal fundraising campaigns from planning through execution, including audience segmentation, messaging, digital integration, and project management.
  • Monitor campaign performance across landing pages, email communications, digital assets, and fundraising platforms, using engagement and donation data to optimize results.
  • Identify opportunities to convert online donors and one-time contributors into more engaged supporters and larger donors through targeted outreach and tailored messaging.
  • Use event, donor, and campaign insights to improve future initiatives, document repeatable processes, and deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines.
  • 6–10 years of experience in external communications, event planning, donor engagement, or a related field, preferably working with institutional funders, corporate partners, or foundations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and core values, with an interest in expanding access to technology education and career opportunities.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to develop repeatable workflows or assets that improve efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, color, and composition, with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or comparable design tools.
  • Ability to translate complex data, impact metrics, and narratives into clear, engaging, and persuasive visual communications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of brand consistency across different materials, formats, and channels.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, transforming source content from colleagues into polished, audience-focused deliverables.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, manage competing deadlines, and maintain clear workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects independently, from concept development through execution and follow-up.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with fundraisers, writers, designers, marketing teams, program staff, and executive leadership.
  • Adaptability and sound judgment when managing rapid turnaround requests, evolving priorities, and a fast-paced working environment.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with an interest in documenting processes, simplifying recurring tasks, and using automation to focus on higher-value strategic and creative work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with HubSpot, including reporting, customization, outreach, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Asana or other project management platforms.
  • Experience developing fundraising campaigns, donor communications, impact reports, or stewardship events.
  • Annual salary: $85,000–$110,000 USD, depending on relevant experience and skills.
  • Remote work: Fully remote position available anywhere in the United States.
  • Health and wellness: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of premiums covered by the employer for employees and dependents.
  • Healthcare support: Employer-funded healthcare reimbursement, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), and an Employee Assistance Program.
  • Financial security: 401(k) retirement plan, employer-paid life and disability insurance, and identity theft protection.
  • Paid time off: Generous PTO, paid holidays, and an annual company-wide closure from December 24 through January 2.
  • Parental leave: 10 weeks of fully paid parental leave.
  • Professional development: $1,000 annual stipend to support learning and career growth.
  • Home office support: Assistance with home office setup.
  • Student loan forgiveness: Eligibility as an employer qualifying for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
  • Additional perks: Pet wellness plans, legal services, home and auto insurance discounts, and exclusive marketplace savings.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
