## Job Summary The Data Migration specialist will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the transfer of data between systems, databases, or environments. This role ensures data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout the migration process and supports the organization’s transition to new platforms or technologies. ## Responsibilities - Analyze source and target data environments to assess migration requirements. - Develop detailed migration plans, timelines, and risk assessments. - Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. - Validate data accuracy following migration and resolve any discrepancies. - Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure a smooth migration process. - Document procedures and provide ongoing post-migration support.

## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in data migration or data management projects. - Proficiency with database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL. - Experience with ETL tools and data mapping techniques. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. - Effective communication and teamwork skills. - Knowledge of data security and compliance best practices.

## Preferred Skills - Experience with cloud migration projects, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Shell. - Certifications in data management or migration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend). - Project management experience or certification.

## Experience - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data migration, data integration, or related IT roles. - Experience with large-scale or complex migrations is highly desirable.

## Environment - Typical office environment with the possibility of remote, hybrid, or in-office arrangements based on company policy. - Occasional extended hours may be required during migration cutovers or system go-lives. - Requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
