Job Summary

The Lead Automation Webdriver.IO role is designed for an experienced professional who will oversee the automation testing processes using Webdriver.IO. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of automation testers in the implementation of Webdriver.IO automation.
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts in JavaScript for functional and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate test automation within an agile framework.
  • Manage and maintain testing environments, ensuring the stability and accuracy of automated tests.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in the automated testing process, providing analytical insight to improve outcomes.
  • Implement and utilize continuous integration and deployment pipelines to streamline testing processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in software testing and automation.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in JavaScript with strong hands-on experience.
  • Extensive experience with Webdriver.IO and Cucumber BDD.
  • Solid understanding of Java programming.
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
  • Knowledge of web technologies including HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with version control systems like GIT.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools, specifically Jenkins.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the development of test frameworks.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages.
  • Familiarity with cloud testing environments.
